The Aerospace Quality Engineer Manager support the QA activities of the Huntsville production team (Quality, Engineering, Production, and Operations). You will have direct oversight of QA Technicians and Quality Engineers and is focused on the continuous improvement of quality functions throughout the plant. Coordinate activities for the Non-Conformance Reporting System, Material Review Board, and Purchase Order (PO) contract review, while generating quality metrics to support departmental goals. Essential Roles & Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise across the program acquisition life cycle in quality, mission assurance and manufacturing to the government for the assigned MDA programs. Apply QMA manufacturing principles and industry best practices to program activities. Participate in cross-functional teams conducting quality, mission assurance and manufacturing evaluations and assessments, for existing and developmental missile defense components. Activities include providing on-site verification and auditing at Developer facilities to ensure that robust controls are in place for quality assurance practices including foreign object debris, electrostatic discharge, and contamination. Participate in assessments, tests, or technical interchange meetings to assess processes and practices for compliance with industry standard and MDA accepted quality, mission assurance and manufacturing strategies, policies, and standards. Report results. Activities include providing on-site verification and auditing at Developer facilities to ensure that robust controls are in place for quality assurance practices including foreign object debris, electrostatic discharge, and contamination.
