Your Role:
As the Quality Manager, you will lead all quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory operations across the organization. You will own the ISO-based Quality Management System, ensure regulatory and customer compliance, and drive a strong culture of quality throughout manufacturing, engineering, and operations.
What You'll Do:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the quality organization, including laboratory and quality technicians.
• Own and maintain the ISO Quality Management System, serving as the ISO Management Representative.
• Plan, conduct, and respond to internal and external ISO audits, ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Audit, investigate, and report product non-conformities and scrap; lead corrective and preventive actions.
• Track and report quality KPIs, partnering with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Manage the testing laboratory, ensuring accurate, compliant testing of materials and finished products.
• Interface with regulatory and certification bodies (e.g., UL, NSF, AWWA, EPA) to maintain required approvals.
• Provide technical quality support to manufacturing teams and customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate audit findings, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Utilize ERP systems and software tools (e.g., SAP, JDE, MS Office, advanced Excel) for quality reporting and analysis.
What You'll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of leadership experience in quality management, quality control, or laboratory operations within Rubber manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems

A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Regional Quality Manager (RQM) is responsible for providing Quality Assurance guidance and support to their respective manufacturing locations. This includes indirect supervision or strong dotted line reporting structure between the RQM and plant quality personnel. This dotted line reporting structure ensures the RQM's have a voice in plant quality activities. As such, the RQM will provide quality related guidance directly to plant quality personnel. Additionally, the RQM is expected to work with plant management to help them understand how their plants are performing relative to quality requirements, and work with them on areas of opportunity. The RQM works directly with the plant quality representatives to evaluate quality metrics, which includes evaluating Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) data, identifying areas of opportunity, and implementing solutions. At times the RQM provides high-level guidance, participates as part of a factory led team, or lead events. RQM's also support QMS compliance, participate in and/or lead third party and customer audits, RCCA (root cause and corrective Action) review and approval, contract review, etc. The incumbent must be capable of distinguishing between Quality requirements that may vary significantly between the ESS and Utility divisions, different market channels present within each division, design types, special customer requirements and several national or international welding and inspection standard guidelines or codes. A thorough understanding of welding processes used at each site is necessary. An RQM has stop work authority as it pertains to non-conforming product.
Essential Functions:
This position reports into Vice President of Concrete and has no direct reports
This role requires travel to the different concrete plants throughout North America. While the amount of travel will ebb and flow, it is reasonable to assume travel time may be 25%- 50%
Assess all quality metrics to determine where the best opportunities are to reduce cost (e.g., CoPQ, FPY, field issues, etc.)
Provide overall QA guidance to manufacturing site quality personnel
Guide and support QC teams at respective manufacturing plants to recognize, prevent, and correct defects before they reach the customer
Provide containment, root cause, and corrective action guidance to respective plants
Work with plant quality personnel to understand and evaluate quality metrics
Provide guidance to plant management relative to plant performance as it relates to quality
Ensure standardized inspection processes are in place at manufacturing sites
Ensure inspection requirements are clearly communicated to the QC teams including inspector certification requirements
Investigation of customer complaints and implementing or issuing corrective actions as needed

Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for containment activities to ensure customer quality. This position is also responsible for investigating, analyzing and correcting part quality related problems, as well as ensuring correct 8Ds and processing SQMS tickets.
Essential Functions:
Analyze, review and investigate part quality issues.
Analyze reports and returned product; recommends corrective action.
Processing of SQMS tickets after verifying correct data.
Provide feedback to other departments as appropriate, to preclude future recurrences of problems.
Work in alignment with internal departments such as MP, QRD, Einfuehrung, Process Engineering and Production, Suppliers, MBCC. Implementation of containment activities to ensure customer quality.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifikationen
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.
Education:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years' professional experience in the following area(s):Manufacturing environment

This is a build-and-lead role with real authority and executive backing.
Mission of the Role Design and deploy a practical, audit-ready AS9100D Quality Management System that integrates with how the shop actually runs-engineering, NPI, production, suppliers, and customers-then lead the company through successful certification and ongoing compliance.
Key Responsibilities (Aligned to AS9100D)
• AS9100D System Development & Deployment
Lead the transition from ISO 9001 to AS9100D
Develop the full QMS architecture: policies, procedures, process maps, records
Close gaps against AS9100D clauses, with emphasis on risk, configuration control, and product safety
• Audit Readiness & Execution
Plan and execute internal audits to AS9100D
Prepare and lead Stage 1 and Stage 2 certification audits o Serve as primary interface with registrars and customer auditors

o Document control & configuration management
o NCR, RCCA, CAPA, and audit response
