The Job:
The Quality Assurance Manager will drive the Quality Function/Improvements in manufacturing operations through the development and execution of clear quality strategies/practices/leadership in support of our manufacturing strategy.
You'll get to:
Ensure that the necessary controls are in place to comply with requirements and stated objectives in the Quality Manual as the ISO Management Representative for the facility.
Ensures that the requirements of all pertinent Standards are established, implemented and maintained.
Reports on the performance of the quality system to the Senior Management Team for review and improvement of the quality system.
Drive systemic improvements to our Quality processes as related to Manufacturing to improve Customer Satisfaction
Support collaboration with other manufacturing facilities as well Organizational Quality Strategies
Lead/drive/accelerate opportunities to enable plant quality improvements by:
Reducing scrap and rework
Reducing total warranty costs (product warranty and liability costs)
Improving outgoing quality (reducing PPM)
Improving Operating Efficiency, FPY and reducing On Hold
Reducing time and effort to launch new products
Lead Quality Team Development
Interface with suppliers on quality issues for CAPAs
Build and develop cross functional relationships with operations team
Provide leadership to manage, improve and meet the Plant KPI's
Provide leadership and guidance in the Corrective Action Process
Provide leadership in developing and maintaining Proactive Quality Program (PQP) including a transition from defect management to process control.
The Person:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality/Reliability).
Minimum of ten years' experience in related Engineering, Management or Quality.
ASQ Certifications preferred in each of the following: Quality Engineer, Auditor and Manager
Minimum of five years' experience in vertically integrated MFG (Machining, Stamping, Fabrication, Tooling, and Engineering preferred)
Working knowledge of ISO 9000, APQP, Process FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, Gage R & R, and SPC.
Strong Oral and written skills
Action Oriented
Ability to make business decisions
Ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Team Center and AS400.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally - 20%

Job Description
The Quality Manager oversees all Quality related activities necessary for the successful implementation of quality assurance standards and procedures at the corporate and plant levels. Job Description
The Quality Manager provides leadership and guidance for the department, improves core processes, and manages projects. They will accept ownership of ensuring the staff is developed in all quality assurance functions. This person also works to develop a clear understanding of the business and technical aspects of the quality assurance function to support the entire organization.
Responsibilities

Manage the internal audit system and assure timely completion of audits. Submit findings and corrective action requests to management. Oversee supplier audits and participate in both audit teams.
Assure monthly metric data entry of the cost of quality information is reviewed and completed on time. Evaluate current data and trends to suggest improvement ideas or corrective action activities to be worked on with a cross-functional team.
Champion scrap reduction efforts as a collaborative effort with other departments. Be involved in new product gate reviews, review all new jobs for proper documentation, and ensure the customer's needs are addressed. Also, identify and gauge needs for new and existing work.
Work with customers on deviation approvals for dimensional and cosmetic issues, discuss possible engineering changes to improve part manufactureability and address any concerns about shipping preservation or part quality.
·Assure and assist in the timely completion of part quality documentation requirements, including but not limited to ballooned drawings, inspection check sheets, SPC charts, process flow diagrams, process failure mode and effects analysis, process control plans, dimensional layout requirements, part submission warrants, capability study, and measurement system analysis.
Improve the Statistical Process Control activities and ensure that data analysis is completed in order to identify possible process improvements.

The Quality Manager provides leadership and guidance for the department, improves core processes, and manages projects. TITLE: TN - Quality Auditor (3rd Shift) POSITION OBJECTIVE: Quality Assurance Auditor will be capable of doing routine to complex quality assurance tasks. Must have excellent ability to measure and test parts to specifications, electronically record data, and initiate corrective actions as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of one year experience in a production/manufacturing environment is required and a Certified Quality Auditor certificate is preferred. Experience in plastic injection and/or blow molding is desired.
High school graduate or equivalent, some related college preferred.
Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and experience with imputing data into dbases systems is a must
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes operational lot control procedures and forms
Archives quality records and logs procedures
Perform in-process product audits in a manufacturing environment, according to product specifications and procedures
Create and complete 1st article inspection reports
Conduct periodic process audits as requested and completes necessary documentation
Assist shift personnel with quality issues and/or measurement techniques.
Assist in problem resolution with customers as requested.
Must be knowledgeable with startup procedures, customer specifications, cosmetics criteria, rejection report procedures, and end of run procedures
Must be able to complete and close a NCMR request, the DHR procedure, the deviation procedure, how to write and stag a customer return, and how to complete pre-production approval protocols.
Responsible for accurate data input into databases.
Must have knowledge of blueprints applications and the use of measurement equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is very loud and requires hearing protection.
