Quality Sprinkler company history timeline
Founded by Kenny Kydd in 1985, the Green Lawn Sprinkler Company has been installing customized lawn irrigation systems and servicing our valued customers for over 35 years.
The company expanded into lawn fertilization in 2010.
With thanks to the lobbying by a combination of the National Fire Sprinkler Network, the European Fire Sprinkler Network and The British Fire Sprinkler Network pre-2011, sprinklers started becoming more commonly installed in newly constructed schools, hospitals, hotels and other buildings.
In 2012 Kenny Kydd was voted “2012 Chelmsford Business Association Member of the Year” for his contributions to the Town of Chelmsford and for his participation in their community fundraising event.
In 2013 Pennsylvania and California also became the first of the States to ensure fire suppression in residential property mandatory.
Following the catastrophic Grenfell tower fire in 2017, fire safety efforts have also recently stepped up in Scotland, with a new legislation coming in to ensure fire sprinkler installation is mandatory in new flats.
