Basic Function: Performs incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections according to prints and procedures. Assist with customer/vendor returns and related data entry. Significant Responsibilities: Performs specific job responsibilities: Perform incoming, first article, finished goods, and customer returns inspections for compliance to specifications and auditing. Complete all other required reports (work orders, action reports, etc.) in a timely manner. Perform analytical tests required to qualify ingredient batches for production. Perform production line checks at specified intervals. Ensure accurate test results by maintaining proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment. Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times. Report all out of specification results to designated leadership. Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership. Basic Function: Performs incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections according to prints and procedures. Assist with customer/vendor returns and related data entry. Significant Responsibilities: Performs specific job responsibilities: Perform incoming, first article, finished goods, and customer returns inspections for compliance to specifications and auditing. Assist with receiving incoming materials and match to purchase orders through utilization of ERP system. Processes customer returns, returns to suppliers, and all associated paperwork. Ensure incoming material meets specific requirements per blueprint. Ensure incoming material is moved to proper location. Ensure that all paperwork and inspection reports are accurate and complete. Maintain manual and electronic record filing system for incoming materials and returns. Ensure materials and return products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance. Recognize defects and problems that arise during production of OCC products. Complete Defective Material/Non-conforming Material notices and coordinate disposition of affected material. Roving inspection of work-in-process. Review, file, and forward incoming certifications from suppliers (CoC, CoA, etc.). Assist with customer requests (CoO, CoC, CoA, BAA, etc). Assist with Internal Audits, Calibrations, and data collection for QMS compliance. Promotes OCC's service excellence and quality. Minimum Qualifications Required: Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; some college preferred. 12 months related experience in Quality Assurance/Control Inspection process, manufacturing, or higher education. Essential Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: Be able to use calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools for verification of product. Intermediate computer knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word and Excel. Ability to read and follow basic instructions. Ability to understand and implement quality procedures. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to read Bills of Materials, Engineering drawings, and ECN's. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Pays close attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments accurately and recognize and assist in resolving problems. Working Conditions: While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift up to 15lbs and move/push a supply cart with approximately 100lbs of supplies on it. The employee must have full range of motion ability, including stretching, bending, and stooping. This job requires sight sufficient for significant reading. WE ARE HIRING FOR 2ND SHIFT 6pm-4:30am (4X10) Technician who collaborates with engineering and production to ensure quality standards are in place and being followed. Helps to implement methods and procedures for inspecting and evaluating the conformance of all products. This role approves the first article following each machine setup and sampling of finished products by confirming specifications, conducts visual and measurement tests, returns products for re-work, and confirms re-work. Ensures that all non-conforming parts and assemblies are identified and documented with containment. Reporting: Quality Engineer Responsibilities Uses the following gauges: Micrometers, Depth micrometers, Inside Micrometers, Calipers, Thread Gages (Ring and Plug), Height Gages, Surface Plates, Bore Micrometers, Hardness Tester, Profilometers, Oasis Measuring Machine, Indicators. Read and fully understands technical drawings and control plans In-process inspections Maintain QC area using 5S standards. Demonstrates good organization skills Communicates professionally and effectively to all levels of the organization Requirements: Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations 2+ years relevant experience in manufacturing quality assurance Familiarity with various types and applications of metrology equipment Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion Requires constant standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
