Product Quality Inspection Technician (2nd Shift) The In-Process Quality Inspection Technician for our Magnetic Resonance Imaging business is responsible for performing a variety of quality inspection and documentation tasks during the manufacturing process to help reduce defects and increase product quality consistency.
Your role:
* Measure parts and tools accurately using appropriate tools and guidelines during the manufacturing process.
* Conduct quality inspections in SAP to maintain timely and precise inventory tracking.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Menands, NY is $19.83/hr. to $31.73/hr. There is a 10% pay differential offered for 2nd shift.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Facility Information:
The plant has 9 drivers, 2 technicians, A distribution superintendent (based remotely off site) and a Facility Manager (Also based remotely off site). It is a 24/7 operation and nights and weekends when no tech is on duty the plant is monitored by a call out box that calls the technician when an issue comes up.
Scope:
Employees in this role operate all aspects of the Linde CO2 facility, from routine operations to solving production problems. They maintain compressors, pumps, valves, motors and related equipment. The technicians start up, shut down, and operate the plant. The technician must solve a variety of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process control problems.
The technician will also be responsible for maintaining the fillzone. This requires training new drivers and contract drivers with loading product, troubleshooting fill issues and maintaining the analyzers. This also requires filling railcars.
On-Site Technicians are trained and mentored as they develop knowledge and skills. The employee is also supported with supervision, technicians, engineers, logistics and other technical staff. Occasionally the technician will travel to locations outside the assigned areas for training and to support other plants.
Principal Accountabilities:
Maintain all Safety, Quality, Environmental and Compliance activities at their plant location.
Start up, shutdown, and operate the production processes.
Monitors process performance and makes appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations and keep plant running at max capacity.
Safely troubleshoot and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, heat exchangers, and valves.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and evaluate equipment performance.
Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, Process Diagrams, and Electrical One Line Diagrams.
Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of process analyzers and instrumentation.
Planning and executing operations and maintenance tasks for assigned plant.
Purchasing of materials and/or services such as contractors.
Technicians are responsible for scheduling, permitting, and overseeing contractor field work.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and compliance tasks.
Operating forklifts/man-lifts.
Good communication skills (inter departmental, team members, contractors, etc.).
Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point).

The major function of this position is:
To inspect all final Rx product to ensure ANSI standards are met throughout the optical dispensing process.
Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00
Shift Differential: $2.00/hr.

Assist Customer Service in entering, tracking and expediting Rx orders through the lab.
Monitor and assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment. Consult with direct supervisor on equipment breakdowns, part orders, and expansion needs.
Maintain the cleanliness of the quality assurance area and equipment.
Follow all lab safety procedures.
Perform all other duties as requested or required by your direct supervisor.

THE OPPORTUNITY
This position is responsible for field repairs of control devices in production areas of the plant. This role direct reports to and will take daily direction from Area Power & Controls Resource or Plant Coordinator.
