In this role, you will: Supervises and trains Quality Specialist 1 and 2. Typically reports to the Quality Manager” Visually inspects products according to specifications to ensure conformity to established standards, using a variety of measuring instruments, calipers, micrometers, and gauges Prepare procedures, update, and maintain files as needed by ISO certification and quality enhancement. Perform first article, piece, in-process as well as final inspections utilizing different automated and manual equipment for inspection. Inspect platforms/vehicles to ensure equipment is ready for subsystem integration Assist in developing and maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality control processes, reporting findings to management Review inspection results for trend analysis and root cause analysis to propose corrective actions Works closely with the Production Staff and engineering to maintain smooth operations, verifies lot number and/or serial number traceability of all components, sub-assemblies and finished goods Travel required up to 75+% Get to know your recruiter: Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: An active Secret clearance. REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment Experience in a regulated environment, such as ISO and FDA QSR Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience in a technician position. Or, at least 3 years of relevant experience in a technician position. Or, at least 5 years of relevant experience in a Production position with a history of learning and increased responsibilities. IPC training is preferred. Ability to use common hand tools and measurement tools including torque wrenches, wire strippers, calipers, micrometer, pin gauges. Previous wire/cable termination, soldering, crimping, adhesive bonding experience is required. Previous electrical testing experience including continuity, resistance, hipot testing is required. Previous experience designing fixtures or tooling is preferred.
