A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GEOTECHNICAL / CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN
Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. You monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction as well as geosynthetic baseliner, closure cap, piping, and gas extraction systems. In addition, you actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing in order to ensure construction standards and specifications are being met.

Perform direct observation on SOP' and GMP's and record results

Fry Line
Ensure that all previously breaded, battered and baked meat and poultry products are cooked and/or cut at the required times and temperatures to achieve the minimum internal temperature/specification requirements.
Ensure the control of the physical aspects of the product such as sizing, uniformity, defects, batter pickup, flavor and odor. One or two pounds are weighed from each sample and product is graded as required for selected customer with results recorded in Processing and Finished Product grade sheet.
Packaging room:
Ensure the documented control of the cooling/freezing and packaging process so that previously Fully Cooked Products are cooled/frozen at the required times and temperatures to inhibit the growth of microorganism and preserve the product prior to packaging.
Ensure the elements pertaining to the monitoring and verification of metal detectors are in place so that all finished products are packaged in a safe manner to protect the consumer from potentially harmful metal objects.
Execute other duties as assigned in all areas.

Perform grainsize readings on the microscope
Inspection:
Receive specimens from shop
Measure specimens on shadow graph and compare to given specifications
Prioritize based on specified priorities
Move specimens to test in UGA
Daily setups and checks of shadow graph
Create turnback as needed
Additional responsibilities:
Perform 6s each shift
Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings

Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine and special testing of raw materials, foam, and finished seat components.
Test performance of seats.
Inspect parts for defects, measurements, and conformance to specifications.
Conduct durability and density tests, H-point and static load deflection as required.
Accurately record test results, measurements, and observations.
Enter data into quality tracking systems and prepare reports for Quality leadership.
Communicate findings promptly to Quality Engineers and Managers.
Operate lab testing equipment, fixtures, and measuring devices; maintain preventative maintenance and necessary supplies.
Calibrate, maintain, and clean equipment according to procedures.
Report any equipment malfunctions or needs for repair.
Follow established testing procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Ensure all testing and documentation meets customer, company, and ISO/IATF standards.
Maintain organized records and retain samples as required.
Support production and quality teams by providing timely feedback on test results.
Work with cross functional teams to investigate defects, non-conformances, or customer complaints.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

Verify electronic product check sheets are filled and saved properly.
Manual gage check for KPC items and record data for X bar R Charts (future item).
One piece manual gage check each line every shift.
Visual check for product characteristics which are not checked by CMM or hard gage.
Verify Tool change check sheets.
Verify changeover check sheets.
Verify FMEA parts are being used on line (perform surprise audits)
Support production with parts that are in vicinity of lines to ensure they are correctly dispositioned and tagged (scrap, Quality Market, shipping, rework).
Provide timely feedback on issues before parts leave the line.

Audit outgoing parts prior to shipping using checklists for housing and carrier.
Label bins if parts do not meet quality standards.
Provide timely feedback to production and the work center immediately for correction.

Ensure that bins have the correct labels and part certifications.
Support production ensuring parts are shipped on time, and with correct quantities according to production schedule per production control.
