This role leads the quality function for a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing operation, with responsibility spanning injection molding, secondary processes, assembly, and end-of-line testing. The Quality Manager owns plant-wide quality performance, customer-facing quality issues, and the continuous improvement systems that support long-term operational stability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and develop a multi-shift Quality organization, including quality engineers, team leaders, and technicians
Drive plant-wide quality improvement initiatives across injection molding, secondary operations, assembly, and testing processes
Establish, maintain, and improve quality systems aligned with automotive customer and certification requirements
Own customer quality performance including complaints, audits, safe launches, and corrective actions
Lead supplier quality improvement activities including audits, performance reviews, and corrective action follow-up
Implement and maintain structured continuous improvement programs such as layered process audits, 6S, and critical process tracking
Develop and manage quality documentation including SOPs, control plans, PFMEAs, inspection standards, and work instructions
Train and develop the quality team in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma
Track quality metrics, identify trends, and lead countermeasure development through cross-functional collaboration
Communicate quality performance, risks, and improvement plans to plant leadership and senior management
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of quality experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
2+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams
Strong working knowledge of automotive quality systems, customer requirements, and audit processes
Experience leading corrective actions, supplier quality initiatives, and new program launches
Background in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or similar structured approaches
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and quality reporting systems
Confident communicator who can advocate for the plant when working with customers and suppliers

About the Position:
At Parafin, Product Engineers are the implemented product experts. We bridge design, product, and backend, which means we're responsible for making sure everything actually works the way it should. We are care about things beyond the specs like understanding why features exist, who uses them, and what problems they solve. You'll own the entire frontend: every transition, every edge case, every state change that happens between a user's action and what appears on their screen.
You don't need to know our exact stack coming in, but you should be strong with JavaScript fundamentals and have shipped real products with React and TypeScript.
What you'll do:
Build polished experiences at scale. Work with design to ship great UI/UX, but also own the less visible stuff that matters like page speed, cross-browser support, mobile responsiveness.

About the Position

Brief Job Description:
The Project Quality Engineer will assure that major ETO (Engineer to Order) projects, will be implemented properly from order to hand over to the customer. In particular he/she will be in close contact with the local Service organization and the central functions (R&D, Marketing, Service and Quality) to coordinate communication between the 2 parties and assuring the customer requirements are understood and timely applied. He/she will coordinate the activities that people of central functions have to do at site to support the local organization (if requested or needed). Will supervise on site, if necessary. He/she will follow up problems found from design phase to commissioning, involving the relevant department.
This is an onsite position in Delaware, OH.
Responsibilities:
Support the central functions to have smooth process from ETO design phase to assembly and test activity done in the factory; related activities to follow are kick off meeting, PDCA document preparation, closure meeting, assembly process, final test, witness test, etc.
Collect information and documentation (technical and commercial, i.e. technical drawings, order documentation, unit setting, etc.) of the projects from central functions (R&D, Marketing, Service, Operations and Quality) and make them available to local organization to support the site activity.
Collect information on regular basis about site situation (site activity plan, utilities availability, etc.) and share them with central functions (R&D and Service) to support and facilitate activities to be done at site by the central functions (if any).
Monitor site activity and facilitate communication between central and local teams in case of need.
Report any issues found at site by local team or during his/her visits at site, to the departments that have to manage and fix the issue (Service, Production, R&D, Quality, etc.).
Visit the sites involved in the major projects before, during and/or after the units commissioning (based on specific needs), to support local organization and collect useful information for products improvement.
Follow up any activity done by central functions to assure they have been done and completed as expected.
Monitor the product behavior after hand over to the customer, and report to factory (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.) major issues on those products
Qualifications:
Technical school background:
university degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
Good knowledge of HVAC-R products and principles.
3-5 or more years of experience in technical position (like Quality, Service, Product Manager).
Good English.
Computer literate, specifically the MS Office package (Access included).
Ability to plan activities in short midterm.
Ability to coordinate people from different departments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks setting the right priority.
Highly customer focused.
Problem solving capability.
Attitude to listen customers' (internal and external) needs.
Working in team.

Job Purpose
Analyze new model design and layout to countermeasure concerns/problems prior to mass production by interfacing with functional experts and other department representatives to summarize and present results to Research and Development for implementation of permanent countermeasures. Effectively interacts with Manufacturing Departments, Support Departments, Suppliers and Research & Development to obtain consensus when determining root cause and suggesting countermeasures to gain a clear resolution to problems. They will also perform completed car testing during trial stages to ensure the design intent is realized with actual vehicle performance. These tests are a combination of static and dynamic tests. Key Accountabilities
Support Plant-wide problem analysis and prevention activities.
Resolve complex issues impacting both the product and customers.
Find temporary solutions to issues when essential to sustain safety, quality, and delivery.
Document each defect or issue as needed and issue trouble reports as necessary.
Provide feedback concerning quality issues to the appropriate and or responsible party.
Act as the liaison to Research & Development for all Departments.
Issue Manufacturing Instructions to temporarily fix design concerns.
Approve and assign application timing for Design Change points for HAM.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related associates degree with experience; or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience: 0-6 years experience based on education, preferred at least 1 term as a Co-op for Honda or in a similar manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this position is $ 116,000.00 - 155,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
