As the MRO Quality Specialist, you will support the Chief Inspector and will have responsibility of supporting all Quality functions for MRO shop operations. You will be responsible for ensuring all Quality/FAA/EASA regulatory requirements are met to meet customer satisfaction and safety. You will be a part of a cross-functional MRO team focusing on FAR145 requirements.
What YOU will do:
Provide support to ensure all FAA/EASA regulatorily requirements are followed
Administer and apply FAA/EASA regulations and directives as they relate to the repair station.
Implement the policies and procedures as established in the Repair Station manual and Quality Control manual.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the training program for Quality Control inspection personnel.
Support the internal and external audits of the repair station and assure that findings are addressed with effective corrective actions.
Verify that any sub-contract maintenance providers used by the Repair Station meet purchase order requirement and FAA function approval prior to their use.
Support ‘significant changes' to the facility layout and obtain written acceptance from the FAA prior to implementation.
Review and update Contract Maintenance listing upon adding new subcontractors to support MRO functions.
Assist in providing training in regulatory compliance, FAA regulations, Repair Station Manual, and Quality Control Manual contents.
Responsible for issuing and maintaining Corrective Actions for internal deficiencies.
Perform and oversee the approval for return to service after maintenance (in accordance with regulations, to include completion of FAA Form 8130-3, Form 337's and logbook entries); airframe, engine(s), propeller (s), and appliances.
Interface and meet with FAA representatives and customers from time to time and as required.
Ability to travel from time to time to customer or supplier sites.
What YOU must bring to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production quality experience role.In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, the candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years of Manufacturing or Production Quality Experience. Bachelor's Degree in appropriate science, engineering, and/or engineering technology field is preferred.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality leadership role.
Knowledge of FAA certification processes, including parts, repair processes, drawings, and all applicable compliance requirements.
Experience and knowledge of aircraft/engine maintenance records and logbooks required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.

Main Purpose of Job:
