Monitors and responds to all process operating guidelines and complies with GMP and safety policies

Qualifications & Requirements:
Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in a food and beverage environment preferred
Some technical and college courses related to food science, biology, or chemistry are required.
Associate degree or minimum of four years of experience as a Level II Inspector in a food, chemical, or agricultural manufacturing facility required (unless this is for an internship or college work program)
Previous sensory and taste skills required
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines required

Chugach Government Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced NDT Level III / Weld Program Lead to join our team. The incumbent would be responsible for leading the NDT Inspection program and lead the welder/brazer qualification program. The NDT Level III shall be responsible for enforcing all company and contract-required policies and procedures related to welding, hot work, and overall workmanship. This position provides direct oversight to ensure work is executed safely, compliantly, and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Prior to the start of any task involving welding or hot work, the NDT Level III will engage with the assigned production team to confirm readiness. This includes verifying that all required materials, consumables, and equipment are available to properly construct containment and ensure effective fume extraction. The NDT Level III will also validate that personnel possess the appropriate PPE and safety equipment, as well as any required testers, documents, and job-specific certifications. The position is located in Chesapeake, VA. The position may require local travel, as well as non-local travel.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Responsible for the Chugach NDT Program including NDT personnel training, certification, and developing, qualifying, and approving NDT inspection procedures. Also responsible for developing and approving weld procedures as needed.
* Maintains all Weld / Braze certifications for Chugach with continuous monitoring for renewal or recertification needs and maintaining welder qualification records
* Meet the minimum requirements of a Level III Technician; provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); (primarily VT)
* Serves as an authority on interpretation and evaluation of welding requirements (specs, codes, standards, procedures, etc.) to assist in various business needs
* Performs and/or manages various internal and external weld and brazing audits and in-process surveillances, conducts inspections, attends checkpoints, writes/documents, required reports, and test and inspection plans
* Executes PQR development to include planning, setup, and execution of testing of material
* Review, assist in developing, QA workbooks for accuracy and at completion to ensure compliance with applicable standards
* Assist in maintaining Divisions training records
* As an NDT3 assume responsibility for NDT training and assist in welder qualification program
* NAVSEA and/or shipyard work experience a plus

Job Purpose

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Must NOT be allergic to peanuts
* Ability to provide correct and accurate production paperwork to the floor in a timely fashion.
* Accurately use raw peanut lab results to adjust formulations when required.
* Accurately completed all Quality reporting forms
* Verify that finished peanut butter LOTS are correct. This includes all aspects of the peanut including sensory evaluation, grind, labels, best by dates, DOM, lids, containers, coding, drum seals etc
* Provide accurate sampling of peanut butter lots for micro testing, collect and store retain samples for any future use

Essential Job Requirements: Produce/create electronic/handwritten Quality Assurance documentation as Objective Quality Evidence for work performed throughout the preservation process. Develop and Maintain Test and Inspection Plan (TIP) for all assigned jobs. Monitor and document all required readings with regard to, but not limited to, metal anchor tooth (profile), paint wet/dry film thickness (DFT), steel temperatures and all required environmental readings using appropriate equipment to include: micrometer, dry film thickness gauge, infrared thermometer, psychomotor. Ensure all assigned equipment is maintained in good working order with within all calibration certification intervals. All of the above requirements shall be completed in a safe and efficient manner so as not to cause injury to self or others.
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Required Certification: NACE Inspector and/or SSPC NBPI required.
Required Experience: Formal or informal on-the-job training in the marine industry; familiarity with Navy and Society for Protective Coatings standards.
Required Skills: Must possess knowledge of Maritime paintings standards with particular emphasis in US Navy ship preservation criterion. Word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database computer skills required. Must be able to accomplish mathematical calculations associated with preservation readings and documentation; must be able to discern and carry out complex written, oral, or diagramed instructions. Must be able to take direction; interact professionally, knowledgeably and cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers and customer representatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Some technical and college courses related to food science, biology, or chemistry are required.
Associate degree or minimum of four years of experience as a Level II Inspector in a food, chemical, or agricultural manufacturing facility required (unless this is for an internship or college work program)
Previous sensory and taste skills required
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

1. PURPOSE
To support quality compliance and production readiness efforts within the Modules Division by performing visual inspections, procedure adherence checks, and documentation verification while providing supplemental fitting and welding support through TIGER Team assistance when required to ensure continuity of WIP modules.
2. POSITION SUMMARY
This role supports execution of critical quality checkpoints and production alignment in modular shipbuilding programs including CVN (Aircraft Carrier), VCS (Virginia-Class Submarine), and ORP (Columbia-Class Submarine). The QC Technician ensures compliance to welding, structural fabrication, and traceability requirements while contributing to production support wherever needed to maintain schedule performance.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Perform visual weld inspections per NAVSEA and Newport News Shipbuilding PPD guidelines.
Perform “in‑process” audits to verify work execution adheres to qualified procedures and inspection hold‑points.
Verify OQE documentation compliance and production traveler traceability.
Monitor work sequencing to ensure readiness for inspection and material availability.
Document, classify, and report nonconformances and support corrective action activities.
Support TIGER Team fitting and welding execution when needed to prevent schedule disruption.

4. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
