Job Description Monitors and maintains the quality function of the inspection lab. Provides work direction for the Quality Control technicians. Interacts with customer, production and engineering to provide initial investigation and temporary countermeasures due to internal and external non conformances by performing the following duties. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH * Carries out ongoing lab and field sampling. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: High School diploma/GED; two years of post-secondary technical education or course work in Sciences that deals with laboratory functions is preferred. This is a great entry level position for a Geology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences graduate. Experience: At least two years of experience as materials Q.C. Laboratory Technician, preferred. * Ability to learn the basic operations of aggregate plants. * Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel and Google applications. * This position requires reliability and the ability to lift and carry 50lbs over uneven ground for a distance of 300ft. * This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. * Employees may have the work scedule adjusted on short notice.
