Job Purpose:
The Quality Control Inspector role exists to develop, maintain, and enforce a framework of standards and inspection for aircraft maintenance safety and reliability at Dynamic Aviation.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing maintenance, modification, or repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures
* Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly on in-process aircraft
* Inspect repaired, or modified aircraft to identify damage or defects and to assess airworthiness and conformance to standards using checklists, hand tools, and test instruments
* Research and draft technical documents
* Inspect parts for condition, conformity and documentation at shipping, receiving and acquisition
* Assist QC Manager with aircraft inspections for condition, quality and conformity with FAA, Aviation industry and Dynamic Aviation standards
* Document non-conformities for trend analysis
* Assist in Root Cause Analysis
* Support continuous improvement efforts
* Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
* Must hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant license
* Ability to obtain an Inspection Authorization
* Ability to perform maintenance and inspection duties utilizing basic hand tools
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to use and effectively navigate ERP program, time clock and company intranet
* A thorough understanding of aircraft and aircraft parts
* A thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, aviation standards and FAA regulations
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to work in close proximity to other people with a cooperative attitude
* Manage time to effectively meet company priorities

Position is responsible for weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients to standards. Performs routine tests to ensure resulting mixture meets specified properties and consistencies. - Maintain the Calibration Database and ensure that calibrations are completed correctly on schedule. Work with outside vendors in coordinating calibrations and reviewing/recording associated paperwork in the database to keep records accurate.
- Performs Fit-for-Use evaluations on selected gages, posts calibration data from technicians after approval by Department Manager, prepares monthly calibration reports, retrieves gages from the plant as needed to send them to vendors.
- Provide technical assistance during LRQA audits.
- Work with auditor to show evidence of responsible areas (see Internal Audit Representative above)

What You'll Do:
Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and Department of Transportation (DOT).
Document and Report Information. Complete all required reports promptly and accurately, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results. Communicate test results on time to the supervisor and properly document them in a database.
Maintain Lab Standards. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab. Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
Monitor Stockpile. Inspect stockpiles, materials sources, and truckloads at plant sites. Monitor the daily construction of the stockpile to ensure that segregation and contamination is kept to a minimum or eliminated. Notify management immediately if contamination is identified.
Inspect Equipment and Structures. Conduct routine inspections of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions.

**Qualifications**
Skills You'll Need:
Experience. Prior training or experience in the materials testing field is preferred. Knowledge of general principles and practices of aggregate production is preferred.
Safety Knowledge. Must display knowledge and awareness of construction and mining site hazards.
Math Skills. Must possess good math skills and demonstrate the ability to perform simple to moderately complex arithmetic calculations.
Technology Skills. Must have the ability to use computerized equipment and technology. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Oracle Business Environment, and other software packages relevant to the position.

**Summary**
QC Inspector performs visual and dimensional inspection of in-process cylinders to ensure production meets requirements.
**Essential Functions**
QC Inspector essential duties include, but are in no way limited to:
* Inspect and approve the first piece of a job before running entire production.
* Verify product traceability.
* Verify that job traveler is accurate and signed-off on all operations.
* Complete in-process inspection checklists.
* Calibrate measuring tools before use as necessary. Verify the date on calibration sticker.
* Use a variety of measurement instruments to confirm part dimensions.
* Inspect parts, verifying that final parts satisfy all requirements indicated by job travelers before shipping parts to customers.
* Actively communicate with quality control and production personnel to ensure the continuous production of quality parts.
* Maintain accurate records and part-counts of current production.
* Complete all necessary paperwork.
* Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job travelers.
* Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
* Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.

Requirements **Education/Work Experience Requirements**
* Must be able to read blueprints.
* Must be trained and pass the inspection test to qualify as a QC Inspector.
