While reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for problem solving to ensure the quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external. Measuring critical product/process variables, records or reports using appropriate tools and utilizing information to continuously improve. If you are unable to maintain processes within established limits or specifications you would have full authority to sop the operation and seek assistance.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Conducting required off-line testing for products.Ensuring all customer feedbacks are completed on-time, root cause is identified and implemented.Assisting in analyzing all customer feedbacks for trends and continuous improvement.Involved in corrective action and preventive action process.Assisting in process capability studies as deemed necessary.Assisting and/or train plant personnel in GIQ quality system.Assisting in maintaining customer property.Assisting in maintaining process for document control.Documenting COA's, COC's as required.Participating when visitors come onsite for customer visits.Defining quality concepts and quality processes, including statistical basics, etc.; applies quality tools; interprets information and data; applies team concepts.Where applicable, supporting the food safety team to organize its work, ensuring relevant training and education of the food safety team members, ensuring the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained and updated, and reporting to the organization's top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system Must know which measurement and test equipment (M&TE) tools are appropriate for various tasks and how to assess tool accuracy and precision; understanding the concept of standards traceability for M&TE.Understanding and applying basic inspection and testing techniques, including various types of sampling plans.Understanding and applying various quality audit types and their components, tools, and techniques.Must be able to control nonconforming material.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED Overseeing the daily quality activities in the plant. Monitoring policies and procedures to assure quality standards are met during production. Coaching and training the work force to achieve quality goals in support of customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Development of inspection plans, procedures, continuous improvement projects, databases and advanced QC applications. 2. Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. 3. Training and coaching of production personnel. 4. Inspection of raw material, work in process, and finished goods. 5. Analysis of non-conformances to determine probable cause and corrective measures. 6. Data entry and preparation of reports including SPC charts. 7. Working with raw materials, work in process, finished goods, and returned goods. MINIMUM PRIOR KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. 3 years of experience in the quality field or related area. 3. Prior filtration experience desired but not required. 4. Familiar with a variety of QA concepts, practices, and procedures. 5. Requires interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with all employees and managers. 6. Must have ability to: read technical material, write coherently, perform basic mathematics including work with fractions & decimals, read product drawings and specifications. TRAINING REQUIRED 1. Safety training 2. Product construction and performance 3. Syteline business system 4. ISO-9001 quality systems processes, policies, and procedures 5. Two to four weeks of on the job training 6. Lab equipment; tape measure, calipers, micrometer, gram scale, and QC measurement equipment. PHYSICAL EFFORT INVOLVED 1. Lifting 30-40 pounds. SAFETY 1. Maintain a neat and orderly work area per 5S standards. 2. Follow all applicable company safety requirements. 3. Safety glasses, gloves, sleeves, and high visibility vests are the minimum when in the plant. Various types of other PPE as required based on the area and job while working in a facility. 4. Follow and administer all safety policies and procedures. 5. Coach production employees to work safely and abide by safety rules and regulations. 6.
