1. Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality
Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
2. Uses measuring tools, measuring machines and electronic instruments to perform inspections in accordance with authorized specification and quality control standards.
3. Performs statistical analysis of data and develops new procedures to make accept/reject decisions.
4. Develops protocols and reports and accurately documents reported results.
5. Performs troubleshooting and makes recommendations, as necessary. Uses technical knowledge to develop new solutions for routine and non-routine technical problems.
6. Creates programs for automated inspection equipment, performs program verifications, trains inspection and operations on use of equipment and programs.
7. Assists Engineers in the development of new measurement systems and processes, or in new applications of existing processes.
8. Uses judgement and problem-solving skills to provide input in the evolution of measurement equipment, systems and processes.
9. Mentors and provides leadership in the development of Quality Inspector/Technicians. Trains Associates on the proper use of measurement equipment and correct procedures. Assigns and coordinates tasks for the department.
10. May repair, modify and/or maintain systems and measurement equipment.
11. Prepares necessary documentation and ensures paperwork compliance on all inspected items, including filing, scanning and verification of device history records.
12. Interacts professionally with other departments to provide detailed data, analysis results and decisions.
13. Performs other functions as required.

As a senior member in Information Technology, they may lead QA team members collaborating with vendor partners in delivering business value solutions. They will ensure that other team members have the guidance they need to deliver timely and relevant solutions.

They will have the ability to apply depth of expertise within your product team and function as a subject matter expert for other staff including offshore team as well as partnering continuously with QA Practice community, regression and automation team and stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals.
This role is directly responsible to:
Lead and mentor QA team members including offshore team within your product team.
Design, Develop and execute test strategy, test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
Establish and evolve QA Best Practices, ensuring that the team is using proven best practices.
Promote usage of tools, automation and develop new processes to ensure quality goals are met in alignment with stakeholder needs.
Execute testing deliverables for the product team to ensure data quality is met per the requirement.
Adhere to existing test methods and provide improvements to innovate & automate the processes.
Act as key point of contact for coordinating QA activities across various product teams and representing your team outside of IT
Meet deadlines and work with an agile mindset.
Advocate for test coverage within the team from anyone who can help.

Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, and 5 years of work experience beyond degree.
Experience with ETL tools like Informatica and well versed with change data capture methodologies.
Have deep understanding of ETL testing and advanced knowledge on database querying specifically with Oracle SQL that can be demonstrated verbally and supported with job history.
Have experience in using ETL testing tools like QuerySurge, Informatica DVO, etc
This position needs to have leadership and people skills to lead offshore staff working closely with onsite coordinator and lead testing activities for the scrum team.
Have high aptitude for technology and learning new skills and can demonstrate verbally during the interview process.
Able to provide Automation requirements and use Automation suite for testing.
The candidate must be an effective influencer in day to day decision making when it comes to what to do next, velocity that can be supported, team assistance needed to have effective coverage and test depth and breadth for horizontal and vertical test paths.
Comfortable in understanding requirements and proactively clarifying ambiguity with stakeholders, BA, PO,SM or anyone in the product team.
Experience with defect management tools for tracking and monitoring defects, experience with test management software with expertise in developing and executing regression suites and proficient in using Agile Management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO).

Nice to have:
Have a broad Health Care Payer experience with specialization in at least one domain - Enrollment, Provider and/or Claims domain.

Role Responsibilities

Support, monitor, and manage systems to maintain BSI food safety and quality standards within OUs, 3PLs and Co-Manufacturer plants. Act as a Quality lead, working cross-functionally to drive performance of the BSI quality system.
Supports Co-Manufacturer quality system through site qualification, audits, documentation review, and KPI management.
Primary contact for product quality holds and raw material / finished case rework at 3PLs
Support commissioning, qualification and validation of new manufacturing equipment, inspection systems, products, ingredients and packaging materials across sites. Coordinate quality/food safety control plan activities through startup and verification stages as needed.
Support OU strategic capital planning for Global Quality initiatives
Work directly with site-level teams across all functions in the application of quality assurance / control programs and problem-solving methodologies, ensuring standardization of procedures and full compliance with ISO standards
Assist with implementation and maintenance of integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO18001, ISO 22000/HACCP) across sites as needed
Provide training to employees in the areas of auditing, problem solving, SPC and other statistical tools as needed
Investigate customer complaints as needed
Manage consumer and distributor complaints assigned to Global Quality within Salesforce system
Review and approve exceptions for liquid quality issues within KY plants
Evaluate exception request trends and review products for potential specification changes

Qualifications & Experience

Five years' experience in food/beverage manufacturing quality setting.
Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain ISO 9001 quality management systems and ISO 22000 food safety management systems including HACCP.
Demonstrated understanding and application of technical skills including understanding of a broad set quality engineering skills:
Automated Inspection systems
Analytical laboratory equipment
Statistical process control
Formal risk assessment
Process capability
Demonstrated root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrated internal auditing skills. Certified ISO auditor is desired.
Must be able to travel. This includes:
BSI Operating units in Kentucky, Mexico and Canada
BSI Suppliers in North America
BSI Co-mans in North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand
Must have strong communication and organizational skills.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related field.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus.
