    Overview & Responsibilities Pay is dependent upon experience and will be discussed during the consideration process. Responsible for the quality of concrete produced at the plants within the division. Oversees and designs various concrete mixes to ensure proper mix specifications are used on each other, with special attention to projects requiring unique or one-off specifications. Oversees mix design submittals for projects and contacts Engineer and Architects when specifications do not meet ACI guidelines, obtains approval of mix designs from accrediting agencies, project engineers, etc. Report monthly, mix optimization, deficiency, in mix performance, and number of bids and submittals produced for each division. Maintains all records of materials used in production of concrete, evaluates and tests raw materials in accordance with ASTM standards to ensure minimization of product failure. Tracks raw materials and product performances to help in the prevention of product failure. Minimizes this risk through the development of trend analysis and product performance records. Evaluates product quality and performance to establish Benchmarks for products and raw materials. Takes appropriate actions to correct material failures and implements processes and procedures to prevent future problems. Monitoring and testing concrete performance during the placement phase to clearly-identify concrete performance problems at jobsite/projects. Communicate and coordinate material test results to Tech Services Manager, Area Managers, and material vendors/supplies to ensure timely resolution of material quality-related issues. Responsibilities: * Works closely with SQ Reactive team to identify NCMs, find root causes, communicate with suppliers, and contain material in WIP that could affect other engines. * Reviews, approves, and provides feedback to suppliers, SDEs, and engineering on PPAPs. * Reading and interpreting prints, 1E Specifications, and other engineering standards to determine part conformance and rework possibilities. * Organization and maintenance of data for quality issues including quality records, material and account reconciliation. * Initiate and track supplier recovery for Cost of Poor Quality for Containment, Quality Holds and rework activities that are supplier caused. * Active team member and Subject Matter Expert for: AQE, MESA, ETQ. * Coordinate actions with support groups such as Engineering, Tech Services and Operations to resolve supplier-related issues. * Identify, analyze, and resolve nonconformance issues by investigating problems related to purchased finished goods, rough materials, and interplant supplies. Lead and coordinate long‑term root‑cause investigations as needed.     Organizational Relationship: reports directly to the Quality Supervisor Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: • Ability to apply and interpret statistical data • Computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required • Must be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills • Must have the ability to actively initiate, lead, and participate in problem solving activities • Must be able to give candid feedback and report findings of non-compliance • Ability to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities • Two years' experience within a manufacturing environment preferred Description of Duties: • Actively participate in the Layered Process Audits and work towards resolution of open items • Interacts with Group Leaders, Team Leaders, and Engineering in the identification and resolution of product quality problems • Interacts with internal and external customers to resolve quality problems • Lead and record activities for Quality Round Table meetings (Bi-Weekly) • Periodically review specifications and Standard Operating Sheets (SOS) etc. for accuracy and revisions • Support Operations employees as needed to interpret specifications and solve problems • Support the Jackson Quality Department by performing tasks to ensure compliance and initiate continuous improvement of the system • Provide accurate information and feedback to all Business Units and Jackson Operations Leadership Team • Provide training/coaching on quality related issues to Jackson production associates and management • Participate in Kaizen improvement events as required • All other duties as may be assigned at management's discretion Additional Information For nearly 70 years, MasterBrand has been shaping the places where people come together, enriching lives and creating meaningful memories for our customers.
