This role is responsible for execution of the CAPA processes by owning the event occurrence, investigation, and documentation for any suspected policy, process, or procedure or production related system nonconformity. Responsibilities include: * Leads the IT Compliance activities and strategy for specific CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) event evaluations, investigations, and resolution planning per established policies and procedures. * Provides understanding and leadership of CAPA processes, System Life Cycle, BTS Quality System, validation and compliance processes/procedures to organization and stakeholders. Hold CFT members accountable for deliverables and create a sense of ownership and momentum to drive results. * Monitor implementation plan and effectiveness check due dates and works with BTS IT owners to ensure implementations are completed on time. * Applies technical writing and reasoning skills to author and/or approve documentation per policy and procedure to support CAPA activities. What they will be doing/ working on: This person will be working on electro-mechanical systems, helping to design, test, troubleshoot, and assemble prototype electronic circuits and specialized test equipment. The Quality Technician ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and audits. This role involves collaborating with production, engineering, customer service, and sales teams in identifying quality issues, and assisting with implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This individual will report to the Quality Supervisor and be a strong partner to our operators and supervisors on the floor. This person will have to captivate and communicate with all departments to address issues, propose resolutions, and see through the quality vision for the company. They will also maintain proper reporting, documentation, and any other necessary routines for the department. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to verify that products meet required standards. Under the direction of the Quality Lab Supervisor, with guidance from the Quality Lab Tech Lead, the Quality Assurance Lab Technician is responsible for the completion of testing and inspection, dimensional analysis and support of other departments within HellermannTyton. This position requires the Technician be able to complete product/process inspections in a product environment as well as a lab environment while managing files and software. Overtime will be required including some weekend hours. This position will also maintain HellermannTyton's TS16949/ISO14001/EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Essential Functions: Understand Customer Expectations as they relate to Product Quality Thrive in and help support a Team Atmosphere Help support the HellermannTyton Team by mentoring Operators regarding Quality of Product Perform 1st Piece Inspection of manufactured product Perform in-process inspection of manufactured product Perform Product specific tests including but not limited to tensile Perform moisture analysis on manufactured product as well as incoming Verify Material Certification and Approve raw material Enter and edit SPC data in the SPC computer file File all QA records and samples (obsolete and current). Use incoming color chip samples to verify colorant in receiving Handle non-conforming material isolation and documentation Perform a dimensional layout referencing the HellermannTyton drawing Use SPC software Record all inspection and test data. Weigh parts. Use control plans. PPAP and PPC testing. Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and Environmental certification by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Other Functions Become a "Go To" person for production personnel regarding Quality of Product Determine "Clean Point" when a non conformance is found Support LEAN Work Environment Other duties may be assigned. Key Competencies Ability to read Blue Prints Ability to use basic hand meausring tools Have basic math skills Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally Basic computer skills a plus Injection Molding knowledge a plus Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience) High school diploma or equivalent required. 1 year prior lab experience preferred Good math and communication skills. Computer skills - Windows, Excel Good vision. Mic and caliper knowledge preferred. Problem solving skills. Blue print reading skills preferred. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Bend over in order to lift 50lbs. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. All employees entering the Manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their position.
