Within the first six months, the candidate will be onboarded, become AM metals customer segment literate, and exercise mastery over the commercial value-add and technical specifications of the products. These goals can be accomplished via 3 main stages.
Month 1
· Understand Phase3D core technologies, technology roadmap, and business strategy
o Complete one calibration of the Fringe system at a development partner's laboratory
o Install updated metal fixtures in at least 1 partner site
o Supervise two biweekly tests, supporting developers in troubleshooting tasks

o Lead all biweekly test coordination, successfully run 4 biweekly tests and write reports on the results for the slack channel

o Lead the trip planning process for at least 1 installation

o Build and maintain stock of 4 Fringe kits

Role:
Responsible for monitoring the overall quality process in the label production with decisions on a suspect or non-conform product (raw material, semi-finished goods, finished goods) to ensure quality standards are reached, and customer satisfaction is achieved.
As a part of this role, you will support the internal audit process by executing product/procedural audits. Assisting the corrective actions process by participating in the root cause analysis as the elaboration and implementation of disciplinary actions.
Support the conformity management process by collecting and entering data and, treating customer and supplier complaints and assisting the measuring instruments process by maintaining proper instrument calibrations
.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and able to maneuver with web-based software

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent- Required
Experience in label production- Preferred
2+ years of manufacturing experience- an asset

Responsibilities:
Be available to respond to the production floor's quality demands.
Making quality decisions for the proper treatment of a non-conform product.
Sort finished or semi-finished goods or supply the information/samples required for production to sort
Verify the conformity of raw material/cutting tools at their reception.
Execute required audits.
Complete the COAs for customers.
Assist QC Supervisor in quantifying production non-conformances in the non-conformance report.
Support QC Supervisor on customer emails. (Complaints, documentation requests, etc.)
Support QC Supervisor on customer relations. (attending to calls, documentation requests, and complaint follow-ups, etc.)
Conduct investigations of customer complaints.
Data management: Entering customer complaints & corrective actions in our software (X3 Web system).
Input/Track all supplier complaints in our software (X3 Web system).
Support the Quality Control Supervisor to elaborate corrective actions by working directly on the cause.
Support the QC Supervisor in the implementation and verification of corrective actions.
Assist with supplier complaints investigations.
Work with our QC Supervisor to prepare customer and supplier claims/complaints.
Assist Process Manager 10 with the management of measuring instruments and calibration guides.
Assist the technical department with quality assurance testing.
Assist the QC Supervisor with the maintenance of the documentation system (Elaborating, modifying, applying, and removing documents)
Participate in any additional improvement projects defined by the immediate supervisor or IML Labels.

Job Purpose
What is the primary purpose of this job? Describe in a paragraph of 5-6 lines why the job exists, main objectives and the need it fulfills.
This position is responsible for analyzing and testing manufactured products and raw materials. Uses approved test methods and procedures to assure that products meet customer specifications prior to releasing to the Filling department.
Consults with QC, Production, and RDI personnel on quality related problems.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts tests including but not limited to viscosity, gloss, hardness, weight per gallon, non-volatile content, cleanliness, adhesion, and paint film properties.
* Tests raw materials.
* Writes up adjustments to batches that are outside of specification within approved ranges and guidelines.
* Consults with QC and Production leadership, and RDI personnel to resolve batch performance issues.
* Prepares pre-shipment samples for customer submission.
* Participates in 5S and general housekeeping activities in the laboratory.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma
Good basic math and computer skills in MS Office applications
Required to walk or stand majority of the shift.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Capable of wearing breathing apparatus and capable of passing a fit test.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of college
Two years laboratory experience.

Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Technician to support our daily manufacturing operations. This role helps ensure every product meets our quality standards by supporting the systems that keep our output consistent for customers. The Quality Technician will work closely with on-site Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to identify issues, assist with corrective actions, and reduce variation in our processes. What You'll Do:
Perform routine quality checks, measurements, and visual inspections to ensure products create exceptional experiences for our customers
Support on-site manufacturing quality process control activities and maintain accurate documentation
Assist in maintaining quality records, equipment logs, and inspection documentation to support consistent production and compliance
Work directly with local Production, QA, and Engineering teams to provide data and observations during root cause analysis (RCA/CAPA) efforts
Monitor visual and dimensional product characteristics, especially color consistency, and promptly communicate discrepancies to supervisors
Collect, organize, and report quality and process data for trend analysis and continuous improvement
What You'll Need to Have:
Required:
Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience in quality
0-1 years of experience in a production, quality, or manufacturing support role
Working knowledge of basic quality tools (control charts, check sheets, 5 Whys, basic FMEA concepts)
Ability to perform accurate measurements, visual inspections, and data collection
Proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel and basic data analysis techniques
Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred:
Experience with visually critical characteristics such as color consistency
Exposure to quality audits, feedback loops, or process verification activities
Familiarity with ISO standards or retail/consumer product compliance
