Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Core Requirements Exceptional attention to detail with strong observational and analytical skills to identify quality issues accurately and consistently. Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement instruments. Working knowledge of quality systems and methodologies, such as AS9100, ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and root-cause analysis tools. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation with a high level of accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, quality management software (QMS), and data analysis tools within a manufacturing or regulated environment. The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for all aspects of the quality programs and functions. These include maintaining all HACCP, food safety records, plant audits, mock recall programs and training the plant on these issues and procedures. Performs testing to validate the microbiological quality of current and new ingredients, suppliers, and packages. Provides test data to assure the production of high quality products. Tests current and new concentrate ingredients in process and finished concentrates, and beverages products in development and finished products. The QC Technician will also work with the R&D Team on new product launches. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Knowledge of all cleaning agents and applications, external, internal, cleaners, and sanitizers. Properly document and follow all procedures set forth in the frequency guide and standards. Ability to properly fill out batch reports, calculate variations in batch sizes, proper attributes, standards, and other data required on batch report documented per formula. Ability to properly measure and follow proper mixing procedures. Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot batch and make corrections. Ability to perform all testing, evaluations, and documentation of results while following procedures. Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action on the line. Ability to properly prepare batch tanks for batching, tank rinsing, tank sanitation, odor, and tasting. Full knowledge and capabilities to perform internal pest control program, location of stations, checking and cleaning of stations, and proper documentation on hand of pest control program. This individual supervises the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products. Shift: 2-2-3 Rotation, 6pm - 6am Duties & Responsibilities Responsible always for promoting a safety culture and safety awareness within their area of responsibility. Assure that daily batch and physical testing for manufacturing operations, using standard chemical analysis according to established test procedures are conducted. Introduction The Quality Technician plays a critical role in maintaining site-wide quality control by managing all non-conforming material, coordinating third-party source inspections, and performing timely inspections on returned goods. This position ensures proper containment and documentation of quality issues, prepares and supports materials for external inspections, and provides quick assessments of returned items to facilitate accurate and timely customer responses. The technician partners closely with Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve issues, maintain accurate quality records, and uphold all procedural and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities * Manage and process all non-conforming material, including identification, segregation, documentation, and disposition. * Coordinate and facilitate third-party source inspections, ensuring required materials, documentation, and quality records are prepared and available. * Perform timely inspections on returned goods (RMA), including visual, mechanical, or dimensional checks to support quick evaluation and customer response. * Maintain accurate records for NCRs, source inspections, RMAs, and other quality-related data in accordance with internal procedures. * Support material flow by resolving quality holds quickly and escalating issues when needed to prevent delays or quality escapes. * Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Operations, and Supply Chain to investigate issues, verify corrective actions, and support continuous improvement activities. * Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and regulatory/ITAR requirements to ensure compliance and audit readiness. * Other duties, as assigned or required. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Core Requirements * Exceptional attention to detail with strong observational and analytical skills to identify quality issues accurately and consistently. * Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement instruments. * Working knowledge of quality systems and methodologies, such as AS9100, ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and root-cause analysis tools. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation with a high level of accuracy. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. * Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, quality management software (QMS), and data analysis tools within a manufacturing or regulated environment. * Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with ADA requirements. Desireable Skills and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical, vocational, or trade school training in quality control, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field strongly preferred. * Five or more years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, electronics, or a regulated production environment; experience working within AS9100 or aerospace/defense quality systems is highly advantageous. * Demonstrated ability to accurately use and read precision measurement tools, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, height gauges, and X-ray or other non-destructive inspection equipment. * Strong understanding of inspection techniques, non-conformance handling, and documentation requirements in a high-mix, high-reliability manufacturing environment. * Competence in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data, including GD&T, preferred. * Proficiency in computer-based quality systems, including QMS platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. * This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
