Job Title: Quality Control Technician Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager within the Operations department, the Quality Control Technician performs and documents quality control inspections of all types of precast concrete products. The inspection process includes evaluating pieces for dimensional accuracy, required tolerances, and aesthetic appearance, as well as interpreting piece tickets and production drawings. The technician is also responsible for daily shipping and receiving of finished products and raw materials.
Responsibilities
* Perform pre-pour inspection of all forms, reinforcement, steel, and inserts in a timely manner to maintain optimized workflow.
* Maintain daily and project production records.
* Check and verify all dimensions of cast-in embeds.
* Complete daily Quality Control documentation.
* Inspect all finished products and document any precast products requiring patching or rework.
* Ensure all precast products are correctly marked.
* Assist other Quality Control personnel in testing materials and finished products as required.
* Maintain plant and yard safety in accordance with the Company Safety Manual under the direction of the Safety Coordinator.
Skills & Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* 1 - 2+ years of experience in concrete.
* Willingness to complete an ACI certification within the first 6 months of employment.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
* High coordination and organization skills.
* Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
* Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
* Ability to be on your feet all day.
Work Environment
The work environment involves a leading manufacturer of quality concrete products for various industries. The role requires working 50 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work (not often). The position involves being on your feet all day and occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.

Introduction

Key Responsibilities
Manage and process all non-conforming material, including identification, segregation, documentation, and disposition.
Coordinate and facilitate third-party source inspections, ensuring required materials, documentation, and quality records are prepared and available.
Perform timely inspections on returned goods (RMA), including visual, mechanical, or dimensional checks to support quick evaluation and customer response.
Maintain accurate records for NCRs, source inspections, RMAs, and other quality-related data in accordance with internal procedures.
Support material flow by resolving quality holds quickly and escalating issues when needed to prevent delays or quality escapes.
Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Operations, and Supply Chain to investigate issues, verify corrective actions, and support continuous improvement activities.

This highly visible position is the Manufacturing Facility at our Harrisonville, MO location provides leadership to the Quality Department to ensure adherence to company quality requirements and standards. This individual supervises the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products. This position interfaces with corporate Research & Development on product and processing test applications and reports to the Quality Control Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible always for promoting a safety culture and safety awareness within their area of responsibility. Always support all plant and department safety policies and procedures.
Assure that daily batch and physical testing for manufacturing operations, using standard chemical analysis according to established test procedures are conducted. Perform routine & complex testing of samples for HPLC, in a timely, accurate manner as needed. Work with the Quality Control Supervisor to determine priority of samples.
Perform technical analysis and initiate corrective action and/or communication for high-priority issues.
Communicate effectively to all levels, including plant and corporate staff members.
Perform finished and semi-finished product analytical testing, using required test equipment or instrumentation according to corporate Test Methods and/or department test requirements. Ensure laboratory test equipment meets operating needs, including maintenance, standardization, and calibration.
Review all testing data reported into Data Disclosure and/or via batch sheet for accuracy
Operate and train department personnel on production line test equipment audit process (Torque data CS, leak data).
Communicate finished product and raw material defects, such as being Out of Specification, to the appropriate HV personnel according to the SOP. Ensure corrective action is initiated, including Hold process and WMS (Warehouse Management System) status.
Create and Edit formulation batch sheets and collaborate their release with appropriate plant members.
Administer incoming raw material inspection and retain program requirement.
Maintain or implement necessary database requirements such as FTBatch, MES Weights, Print and Apply or others.
Support Six Sigma program initiatives and testing related to analytical and inspection testing.
Perform a monthly review on the production weights and escalate issues to the Operations team.
Assist the Quality Coordinator with the creation of Monthly and Yearly Quality KPI Reports
Maintain up-to-date and accurate quality lab documents, procedures, manuals and files.
Support R&D corporate program initiatives pertaining to laboratory functions including PTR, Technical Transfer, RTM, RTS and PLM specification reviews and approvals.
Administer inventory reports of needed chemicals, tools and equipment to support product test and release functions.
Follow GLP requirements for the safe handling of chemicals and analytical testing, including use of PPE.
Coordinate training of department staff in all areas of laboratory functions and inspection process.
Support PTR (Plant Trial requests), Technical Transfer, Brand Team meetings, and other plant/corporate meetings, as needed.
Perform Agile PLM specification reviews and Approvals
Create, review, and approve COAs for WIP (Work-In-Process) material. (For example: LUD, LLD, Oxi Powder, Scent Booster, and Blue Salt).
Perform capability analysis and trending of product data to initiate Specification or product changes via corporate.
Attend Root Cause Analysis groups and assist with corrective actions.
Initiate and Support CAPA events.
Be accessible for off-hour communication regarding lab issues that occurred during worked shifts.
Assist in lab coverage during periods of chemist unavailability.
Operate laboratory computer, analytical test instruments and systems, including troubleshooting and calibrations as needed.
Communicate appropriate batch adjustments to Processing staff to ensure product integrity according to specifications. Troubleshoot analytical problems with Processing staff as needed.
Perform incoming raw ingredient testing and comparisons to standards and verify quality of received components.
Document and maintain test results, audit information, procedures, logs, and specifications using appropriate data or file maintenance systems, in accordance with Company Policy.
Review and Update SOPs and other documentation to ensure up-to-date processes and procedures.

Be a leader, advocate and resource for the implementation, execution, and maintenance of the principles of lean manufacturing such as 5S, etc. This includes active participation in Lean activities.
Monitor and maintain laboratory supply inventory to ensure department resource needs are met and avoid work interruptions.
Evaluate quality data and plant process capabilities. Suggest opportunities for continuous improvement and areas for specification change where applicable.

Perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspection on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current maintenance data
Ensure that tools and equipment used to make airworthiness determinations are labeled in accordance with the manual
Perform incoming review to identify, control, segregate, and maintain all materials according to the manufacturer's requirements or standard industry practices
Ensure Part 135 and Part 121 air carrier GMM guidance is followed for maintenance, documentation, return to service and all records are complete
Perform the initial self-evaluation of work and ensure internal forms and Capability evaluations are completed accurately.
Ensure proper documentation has been completed and signoffs performed as required
Perform or witness test procedures as required by applicable work instructions, company policies, CFR's, or CMM's

Compare results with specifications and record test data. Analyze test results on defective units to determine extent of failure. Confer with production personnel regarding testing and results.
Input of data to the Certificate of Analysis, Excel database
Read work order and verify correct/incorrect materials in area. Notify materials handlers to have removed as necessary.
Calibrate test instruments according to specifications.
Assist in training new hires

Job Title: Quality Control Technician Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager within the Operations department, the Quality Control Technician performs and documents quality control inspections of all types of precast concrete products. The inspection process includes evaluating pieces for dimensional accuracy, required tolerances, and aesthetic appearance, as well as interpreting piece tickets and production drawings. The technician is also responsible for daily shipping and receiving of finished products and raw materials.
Responsibilities
+ Perform pre-pour inspection of all forms, reinforcement, steel, and inserts in a timely manner to maintain optimized workflow.
+ Maintain daily and project production records.
+ Check and verify all dimensions of cast-in embeds.
+ Complete daily Quality Control documentation.
+ Inspect all finished products and document any precast products requiring patching or rework.
+ Ensure all precast products are correctly marked.
+ Assist other Quality Control personnel in testing materials and finished products as required.
+ Maintain plant and yard safety in accordance with the Company Safety Manual under the direction of the Safety Coordinator.
Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ 1 - 2+ years of experience in concrete.
+ Willingness to complete an ACI certification within the first 6 months of employment.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
+ High coordination and organization skills.
+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
+ Ability to be on your feet all day.
Work Environment
The work environment involves a leading manufacturer of quality concrete products for various industries. The role requires working 50 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work (not often). The position involves being on your feet all day and occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
