Purpose
The QA Technologist provides operational support and drives quality initiatives within the Euclid Consumable Division. This role ensures that process audits, inspection, and testing procedures are well-defined and contribute to continuous improvement in quality. The QA Technologist will manage warranty systems, review customer warranties, enhance the non-conformance process, and implement corrective action requests.
Long Description
Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues across Consumable products.
Develop, document, and maintain procedures for daily quality operations.
Establish and support training programs for QA technicians.
Support and continuously improve the Non-Conformance system.
Manage customer-facing issues through the Warranty System.
Issue and maintain stop-ship actions, and drive improvements to the stop-ship process.
Leverage data from quality systems to enhance visibility, streamline actions, identify trends, and improve overall quality performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Methods, Plant Engineering, R&D, and Specials to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support certification reviews and approvals.
Assist in developing and maintaining quality process control methodologies.
Utilize computers, databases, and software tools associated with the Quality Program.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years (Level I Technician) of related experience (5+ years preferred Level III Technician)
Preferred knowledge of welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW).
Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools

Summary
Lincoln Electric is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our Euclid, Ohio headquarters operation. The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in conducting scheduled Internal Quality Audits to determine if the internal quality system is effective.

What You Will Do
The QA Technician will support various functions and activities to include covering internal ISO audits as well as other external bodies such as NIOSH. In addition, you will:
• Plan and conduct internal ISO9001 Quality Audits according to schedule; work closely with all departments inclusive of ISO9001
• Use audit guidelines, checklists and prior audit results to determine audit paths
• Gather and document objective evidence during audit interview process; determine whether quality activities comply with specifications, procedures, and standards
• Record and document audit results in the company's online audit system and review the results of the audit with the Department Manager of the area being audited.
• Complete corrective action determinations including associated risk assessments
• Draft corrective actions and action items in a clear and compelling way for use by others
• Conduct verifications of corrective actions and action items including verification using objective evidence
• Guide, support and answer third party quality audits and surveys including all required correspondence
• Perform work center, finished product and process audits, as required
• Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, Work Instructions Specifications and Plant Rules and Regulations that are associated with the performance of this job
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
• Promote an atmosphere of continuous process and employee improvement.
Education & Experience Requirements
• Technician III: Vocational training and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; OR high school diploma/GED with 7+ years experience in a relevant work environment.
• Technician IV: Vocational training and 8+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; OR high school diploma/GED with 10+ years' experience in a relevant work environment.
• Additional training and or knowledge in the quality auditor field and procedures is desirable
• Computer skills in MS Office and Windows operating system.
• Experience in developing and maintaining records and to follow projects through to conclusion
• Ability to obtain ISO 9001 Auditor Certification
• Ability to review and evaluate specifications, procedures, and processes

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
As a QC Lab Technologist II you will perform advanced manufacturing, processing and test procedures on blood products, and will interpret test results before releasing blood to area hospitals. You will manufacture and prepare pathogen reduced platelet products for hospital patient use, in a highly regulated environment. As a Technologist II you may assume operational supervisory responsibilities on your designated shift; you will mentor and guide Technologist I and Technician staff, and provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all line staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform moderate to high complexity laboratory testing procedures and interpret various testing procedures on donor specimens, and blood products; Identify and quarantine products/samples that don't meet quality requirements.
Meet the quality and quantity production and testing goals established by the department.
Ensure products are suitable for release for distribution.
Meet the quality and quantity production and testing goals established by the department, and appropriately manage any exceptions.
Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
Perform quality control on products, reagents, equipment, and various test kits; maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory locations for products/samples.
Tracks the quantities and results of QC testing performed to meet ARC and regulatory requirements.
Participate in QC staff training and QC projects; may serve as a project lead
Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with cross-functional teams.

Standard Schedule: This is a first shift position working four 10-hour shifts 6am to 4pm and will work a weekend rotation.
Pay Information: $31.20 per hour. There is a weekend premium of $2.00 per hour for weekend hours.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor's degree in an applied science is required (Associate degree in science with an MLT may be considered in areas that do not have licensure requirements)
Minimum 5 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and related experience required for non-MLT/MT staff. Must meet state and CLIA requirements.
Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment, personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods.
Ability to work with a team.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE:
MLT (ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification preferred
No additional experience is required for MLT or MT degreed staff.
Physical Requirements:
Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. Required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc. when there is exposure to blood and blood products and/or where work location requires.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspection, layout, and data collection activities to support production and quality requirements.
Serve as a customer documentation expertexperience with Meggitt is a strong plus.
Prepare and review PPAP, FAI, and other customer-required documentation; obtain and maintain required inspection stamps.
Conduct and interpret capability studies, including CPK calculations and related data entry.
Apply strong GD&T knowledge to inspection tasks and documentation.
Use a variety of mechanical inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and hardness testers.
Develop bubble drawings and IPD (inspection plan) documentation as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
35 years of experience as a Quality Technician in a machining and aerospace inspection environment.
Strong understanding of GD&T concepts and applications.
Proficiency with common inspection tools and measurement equipment.
Experience with customer-specific documentation and quality requirements.
Ability to analyze data, perform capability studies, and document results accurately.
