This role is onsite in Normal, IL. *This is a 6-month W2 contract* In this role, you'll work with the Sustaining Reliability team to build, maintain, and operate laboratories for testing automotive battery packs, electrified powertrain systems, electric vehicle systems and component reliability. What You Will Be Doing Work collaboratively with test engineers to install, configure, and maintain test properties across a variety of complex powertrain test equipment Execute tests effectively that results in minimal test equipment downtime Troubleshoot test failures and report findings to test engineers Proactively complete highest priority tasks while tests are ongoing Fabricate test fixtures and instrumentation using a variety of materials. What you will do * Accountable to monitor the Quality Performance of 200+ suppliers and drive improvement activities for top pain suppliers, partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing counterparts. * Develop, implement, and maintain standardized metrics and scorecard that guide actions and promote continuous improvement (e.g. supplier performance metric SQPI, PPM, CoPQ, etc.) * Provide sound quality input to supplier qualifications (existing / new suppliers, supplier transition, etc.) * Partner with SDE (Supplier Development Engineeer) with Supplier On-Site Assessment and Supplier Qualification * Drive product and process improvements through investigations and effective root cause analysis * Drive risk mitigation and effective process controls.
