Responsibilities Develop an understanding of the electrical project scope, quality requirements, quality plan, and quality documents pertaining to the assigned scope of work including applicable codes and standards. Coordinate with operations to schedule and perform quality inspections and tests to maintain production goals. Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain the quality files related to area of responsibility. Verify inspection and test compliance with applicable contract documents, codes, and standards. Correctly interpret and utilize codes and industry standards to determine compliance of the work. Assist the project team with completion of required test documentation. Organize quality documents and store per the company and project document management procedures. Identify, report, and correct nonconforming work in accordance with the company quality standards and the Project Quality Plan. Perform receiving inspection of permanent materials and plant equipment for project requirements as needed. Be involved in and provide quality input to task planning meetings. Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize hazards. Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens) Understand and implement lockout/tagout procedures in safe manner. The Quality Technician performs quality control tests/inspections on products at various stages of production process. Duties require verbal and written communication ability, visual acuity to product detail, manual coordination to operate hand tools and testing equipment, ability to enter data in computer system and the physical ability to lift various weights. Essential Job Functions Performs quality check of printed, laminated and slit roll samples and pouches on a regular basis to verify Operator's result for dimension. Operates quality control testing equipment/tools. Collects and manages sample retained. Collaborate with Operator and Production Supervisor in ensuring product conformance during job set up for approval to run. Respond and assist Production and/or Quality Supervisor in verifying reported non-conformities for quick resolution or corrective action. Communicate deviation incidents to concerned personnel for corrective action. Place non-conforming raw materials, WIP & Finished products ON HOLD/Quarantine on Radius, update the Quality Log and communicate to concerned personnel. Assist Quality Supervisor in sampling and verification of internally quarantined and customer returned non-conforming materials to identify proper disposition. Generates and issues Certificate of Analysis directly to customer or save in the system. Communicates discrepancies of production documentations (WI, SOP, Layout, etc.) to Management and CSR for timely correction. Prints quality forms for production personnel if needed. Read and replies to e-mails in timely manner. Cooperate in the maintenance, cleanliness and organization of the Laboratory. Cooperate during root cause analysis to identify proper corrective & preventive action. Assist in collection, preparation and review of customer required samples. Perform filing of quality documents/records. Assist with team members with their responsibilities as needed or during their absence. Attend team meetings and feedback on any quality related issues/improvements. Assist in employee trainings, if required. Follow all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment. Report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel. Job Description American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an industry-leading battery metals and critical material technology development and commercialization company. Our Pilot Plant just outside of Reno, Nevada will be the first integrated implementation of our multi-step processing train for the full mechanical processing, physical separation, chemical extraction, and production of commercial-scale battery metals that will be resold back into the battery manufacturing supply chain to enact a low-cost, low environmental impact, and domestically sourced closed-loop circular economy. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Li-ion battery recycling operation. This critical role reports directly to the Head of Quality and plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of our battery disassembly, processing, and finished product quality. This position is for our D-shift staff, working nights, Thursday through Saturday, and every other Wednesday. Requirements Experience: Proven professional experience (2+ years) in a quality control, technician, or related technical role, preferably within a manufacturing, recycling, or complex technical environment. Battery Expertise: Direct hands-on experience with Li-ion battery technology, including familiarity with common battery pack and module architectures. Mechanical Fluency: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for precise disassembly, inspection, and maintenance tasks. Tests, inspects, or measures internally manufactured materials or procured products to verify compliance with Click Bond or customer furnished engineering drawings and procedures. Completes associated documentation and reports. Makes entries in the Click Bond MAX/MRP system and Access data base. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Use inspection devices (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator etc.) to determine product compliance with engineering drawings, purchase orders and associated aerospace specifications. Produce reports of inspection/test acceptance or non-conformance and make appropriate computer entries. Use programs in the computerized test machines. Prepare materials for test applications, including but not limited to, machine work, abrasive blasting, hand scraping and abrasion, and meticulous cleaning under the supervision of Test Area Lead or Senior Test Technician. Mix and apply adhesives per appropriate documentation. Assist in the thermal, mechanical, and chemical conditioning of test samples. Perform mechanical testing of test samples including operation of computerized screw drive test machines under the supervision of Test Area Lead or Senior Test. As a QC Inspector at Rocket EMS, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our high-reliability PCB assemblies adhere to the strictest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting first article inspections, performing in-process audits, and monitoring production quality along the SMT line. The Quality Technician performs quality control tests/inspections on products at various stages of production process.
