JOB SUMMARY:
This is a night shift position; however, the training will be on day shift
Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure smooth, efficient, and quality-driven operations.
Maintain high production standards by following detailed process specifications and company procedures.
Record equipment logs, production data, and performance metrics accurately in computer systems.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Troubleshoot basic tool or machine errors and assist in recovery and maintenance as needed.
Follow all safety and ergonomic procedures, ensuring a clean and organized workstation aligned with 6S standards.
Participate in required on-the-job training and complete certifications and recertifications as scheduled.
Respond to SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts, responding to failed tool quals, processing engineering targets, SWRs and other tests, monitoring and collecting data, dispositioning lots, troubleshooting tool errors and recovery and other similar responsibilities.
Collaborate with team members, technicians, and engineers to improve productivity and process efficiency.
Provide accurate pass-down communication between shifts, ensuring all updates and issues are clearly documented.
Suggest process or safety improvements to leadership and take initiative to enhance operational performance.
Support a safe and positive work environment by maintaining compliance with all safety guidelines and reporting concerns immediately.

Essential Functions:
Perform specimen tests of concrete from random loads or for special jobs or mixes; prepare test reports as required.
Oversee unique jobs to ensure product standards are met, i.e., jobs that have restrictive specifications or require large quantities of material to be delivered.
Perform aggregates and batch plants tests including daily graduation and moisture tests on all concrete being produced for State and spec projects.
Certify concrete loads being delivered to "spec" jobs in accordance with SHA specifications; check loads for proper procedure and time of mixing.
Perform quality assurance tests on trial batches of new concrete mix designs under close tolerance conditions and make adjustments until mixture meets specifications.
Troubleshoot problems with customers, analyze and evaluate specific conditions, situations, quantities, etc., and provide appropriate resolution.
Provide technical assistance and training to plant managers, equipment and yard operators, and drivers when requested.
Perform laboratory tests including gradation, moisture, lightweight particles and specific gravity tests on aggregates.
Select samples for materials that need certification by an outside laboratory or that are beyond the department capability. Transport these samples to the testing agency.
Perform additional tasks such as cleaning facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness, moving equipment and materials, and completing tasks for other positions when incumbent is absent.
Assist the Technical Services Manager and Assistant Manager as needed.

Perform specimen tests of concrete from random loads or for special jobs or mixes; prepare test reports as required.
Oversee unique jobs to ensure product standards are met, i.e., jobs that have restrictive specifications or require large quantities of material to be delivered.
Perform aggregates and batch plants tests including daily graduation and moisture tests on all concrete being produced for State and spec projects.
Certify concrete loads being delivered to "spec" jobs in accordance with SHA specifications; check loads for proper procedure and time of mixing.
Perform quality assurance tests on trial batches of new concrete mix designs under close tolerance conditions and make adjustments until mixture meets specifications.
Troubleshoot problems with customers, analyze and evaluate specific conditions, situations, quantities, etc., and provide appropriate resolution.
Provide technical assistance and training to plant managers, equipment and yard operators, and drivers when requested.
Perform laboratory tests including gradation, moisture, lightweight particles and specific gravity tests on aggregates.
Select samples for materials that need certification by an outside laboratory or that are beyond the department capability. Transport these samples to the testing agency.
Perform additional tasks such as cleaning facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness, moving equipment and materials, and completing tasks for other positions when incumbent is absent.
Assist the Technical Services Manager and Assistant Manager as needed.

Job Title: Quality TechnicianLocation: Laurel MDJob Type: 3-6 month contract Industry: [Manufacturing/Electronics/Defense] Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification and will have hands-on experience inspecting electronic assemblies to industry standards. Experience operating and programming CMMs using PC-DMIS or similar software is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:Inspect electronic assemblies and cable/wire harnesses in accordance with IPC 610 or IPC 620 standards.Perform visual inspections for soldering, component placement, wiring, and mechanical integrity.Utilize inspection equipment including microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Operate and/or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS or similar software (a plus).Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify and resolve quality issues.Ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards.
Requirements:IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification (required).2+ years of experience in a quality assurance or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.Experience with electronic assemblies, PCBAs, or cable/wire harnesses.Familiarity with CMM operation and PC-DMIS programming (preferred but not required).Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.Ability to interpret technical drawings and inspection criteria.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar regulated environments.Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools (e.g., Pareto, Fishbone).Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
