Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking **Manufacturing Technicians** to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our **Copper Crossing Value Stream (CXVS) facility** in **Salt Lake City, Utah** .
**_Role description & Responsibilities:_**
A **Manufacturing Technician** performs hands on activities/tasks associated with manufacturing of composite rocket cases. Tasks may include but are not limited to Tooling Assembly/Disassembly, Case Surface Preparation, winding composite equipment operation, maintaining cleanliness of the work area and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. These candidates must participate as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and schedule of their team.
This is a **weekday, night shift position** . Overtime is worked as necessary.
**_Requirements:_**
- Must be willing to perform shift work and overtime, as required. This could include weekends and holidays.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license
- Required to perform safe handling of hazardous waste materials for disposal.
- Possess ability to understand and apply stringent procedures to assigned duties.
- Safe handling of equipment and materials in a manufacturing environment
- Operating industrial equipment such as bridge cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Able to monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control and design specifications.

- Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist push and pull up to 50 lbs.) while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.).

- Ability to start and end helicals and hoops in carbon winding process, following planning requirements.
- Able to continuously monitor machinery to ensure winding is completed according to established planning and procedures.

Primary Level Salary Range: $43,100.00 - $71,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $51,200.00 - $85,400.00

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serves as the quality assurance coordinator who provides site Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) guidance and monitors the work activity of MPC employees and contractors on site/off site for compliance with Marathon-specific policies and procedures as it relates to work on Fixed Equipment, Rotating, Insulation/Coatings, Civil work, and Tanks.

* Assists routine maintenance and project engineering to ensure the proper MPC site quality documents are included in Request for Quotation (RFQ) for piping and fixed equipment.

* Performs QA activities associated with Routine Maintenance work as well as projects and Turnarounds.
* Plans QA coverage for extended work periods such as projects, outages, and turnarounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum (Required) Qualifications

* 2 years (2) or more of inspection experience in fixed equipment, reliability, and maintenance required.
* Availability for a Monday-Thursday 10-hour shift schedule, on-call weekend rotations, and support for Turnaround and shutdowns as required.

About the RoleTorus is hiring Manufacturing Technicians to join our Production Team. Opportunities available for both entry-level and experienced operators. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to high-voltage and low-voltage electrical assemblies, wiring, manufacturing and mechanical assemblies. Responsibilities
High-voltage and Low-voltage Electrical Assemblies: Perform assembly and wiring of electrical components, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, following engineering diagrams and specifications. Ensure proper installation, routing, and termination of electrical wiring and connections.
Mechanical Assemblies: Carry out the assembly and integration of mechanical components, including but not limited to: motors, gears, belts, pulleys, and other mechanical parts. Use hand and power tools to assemble, adjust, and align components according to engineering specifications.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on completed assemblies to verify functionality, identify any defects or discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document completion in assembly processes, measurements, adjustments, and test results. Generate reports detailing any issues or improvements identified during the assembly and testing phases.
Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment and tools. Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions or issues that may impact production.

Responsibilities
Assist with design transfer to manufacturing, including quality control activities from production processes to shipment of the final product.
Provide support for the supplier management program by evaluating suppliers, monitoring supplier quality issues, coordinating failure investigations on time, and creating reports on supplier performance.
Participate in risk management meetings and related activities such as verification of risk mitigation implementation in products and processes.

Attend third-party and client audits, follow up, and ensure timely responses for corrective actions.
Provide support to the manufacturing facility team in helping them manage non-conformance issues, corrective action, closure of CAR, and preventive actions.
Provides support for the suppliers and other audit programs.
Writing work instructions and SOP.
Conduct training for SOPs &WI's.
Create and update monitoring forms as required.
Participate in change management initiatives.
Validation and verification of new products, lines, and equipment.
Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in food science or a related field is required
3+ years of experience in a QA/QC position in a manufacturing environment is required
