Responsibilities

Performs all work according to OSHA, MSHA, and H&K Safety policies
Follow and assure compliance with quality control plans
Sample and test materials following standard practices and quality plans
Maintain test records and assure compliance with company and agency specifications
Maintain a clean, organized work environment
Read and follow H&K Group employee handbook protocol and procedures
Calibrate and maintain test equipment to standards
Establish and maintain lines of communication with plant operations, agency representatives, and quality control supervision
Work with sales team to address customer issues
Generate reports and communicate results and trends to the quality control team and H&K employees

Position Summary
The Chemical Manufacturing Technician I will run all chemical manufacturing processes in compliance with all associated quality systems. Packs and ships all products. Maintains processes in their validated or compliant state.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
•Reads and follows written and electronic batch records
•Ability to record data in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
•Operates Powered Industrial Vehicles to move product, as needed
•Handles lab equipment to monitor product dryness using lab moisture balance
•Cleans reactors, filters and other process related equipment, process rooms, general cleaning
•Records appropriate steps on batch record and associated documents
•Understands and complies with quality regulations as they relate to job responsibilities
•Complies with good housekeeping and safety rules
•Understands various process pumps
•Operates various process pumps
•Troubleshoots process related equipment- type of equipment is dependent on operator level
•Shovels product from bin into dryer feed hopper

Qualifications:

The plant operates 24/7, and this is a 3rd shift opportunity from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. There is a $1.50 shift differential, and a $1 raise after a 15-week training period. Bonuses are available every 2 weeks for perfect attendance. The team includes an Assistant Quality Manager and three technicians per shift. Per GMP guidelines, artificial nails, eyelashes, and visible jewelry are not permitted. Candidates must wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts. Work Environment
The plant operates 24/7, and this position is for the 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday) with a shift differential. Candidates can expect a raise after a 15-week training period and a bonus for perfect attendance every two weeks. The team consists of an Assistant Quality Manager and three technicians per shift. Adherence to GMP guidelines is required, including restrictions on artificial nails, eyelashes, visible jewelry, and specific attire. The role requires wearing closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts. A uniform and freezer jackets are provided, as technicians will frequently enter and exit the freezer.

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet required levels of quality and industry regulations. This position performs quality tests, inspection checks, and communicates test results to their Quality Supervisor.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
Take measurements and samples according to the control/sampling plan and generate the reports (e.g., lacquer weights and distribution, visual can inspection, bar code and QR code inspection, abrasion testing, mobility testing, etc.).
Conduct tests using high-tech measurement equipment (Torus, Versatile, Sencon) and promptly update the quality control reporting system.
Monitoring and testing of critical control points (CCPs).
Evaluation and approval of color during Litho change.
Monitor the quality of products on the line and at specific production stages and provide support and feedback to production team members.
Provide final approval for finished goods.
Contain out-of-spec finished goods per containment guidelines and report to supervisor.
Create and analyze quality reports.
Communicate test results, quality status, and progress to all team members.
Collaborate with all VSO, plant teams, and areas to ensure the highest quality.
Ensure compliance with BRCGS.
Understanding of HARA
Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.

Position Summary
The Chemical Manufacturing Technician I will run all chemical manufacturing processes in compliance with all associated quality systems. Packs and ships all products. Maintains processes in their validated or compliant state.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
•Reads and follows written and electronic batch records
•Ability to record data in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
•Operates Powered Industrial Vehicles to move product, as needed
•Handles lab equipment to monitor product dryness using lab moisture balance
•Cleans reactors, filters and other process related equipment, process rooms, general cleaning
•Records appropriate steps on batch record and associated documents
•Understands and complies with quality regulations as they relate to job responsibilities
•Complies with good housekeeping and safety rules
•Understands various process pumps
•Operates various process pumps
•Troubleshoots process related equipment- type of equipment is dependent on operator level
•Shovels product from bin into dryer feed hopper
•Scoops product from drums and weighs amounts
•Rolls drums onto and off from skids
•Accurately weighs material on scales during final packaging in accordance with packaging documentation.
•Monitors in-process batches with regard to temperature, clarity, volume, etc.

Qualifications:
•High School diploma or GED.
•Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations using a calculator.

Physical Requirements:
•Movement - Standing and Walking for up to 12 hours of the shift. Walking up to 5 miles a day.
•Lifting & Moving - Must be able to lift and carry 20 to 80 lbs. repeatedly multiple times in a shift. Pushing & pulling up to 200 lbs.
•Other Movements - Bending and reaching required multiple times per shift. Crouching, Stooping and Kneeling a moderate amount of time per shift. Climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolds and ramps required multiple times throughout shift including but not limited to climbing height up to 12 feet.
•Other Physical Requirements - Use of a computer and keyboard throughout the shift. Required to perform handwriting and typing throughout the day. Frequently working with Electronic Batch Records. Occasional forklift use.
•Speaking, Hearing & Visual - Must be able to speak clearly and present well to others. Hearing is required constantly throughout shift. Must be able to see near, distant and peripheral objects all the time.
•Environmental - Frequent warm climates indoors. Temperatures will vary with conditions and tasks. Exposure to exterior noise as well as internal machinery noise. Must be able to put on personal protective equipment throughout shift. Must be able to work in smaller rooms and/or confined spaces.
