The Quality Control Technician inspects work performed by client employees, internal employees, or client subcontractors. Work is inspected for process and specification compliance against company/client guidelines. (This purpose is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon client.) The Manufacturing Technician plays a crucial role in the extrusion production process and reports directly to the Production Supervisor. They are responsible for ensuring the production equipment is set up correctly and according to product specifications. This role ensures that all reworked items meet quality standards before being returned to production or shipped to customers. The technician collaborates closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production teams to maintain product integrity and compliance with specifications. General Responsibilities Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful evaluation of returned products. Develop and conduct methods for testing and evaluation of returned products. Provide technical support for and continually review testing processes for all returned products. Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying issues found during testing of products. Complete Inspection of parts associated with customer complaints or SOHN. Reclaim tested products (ACs, Refers, Coolers, Etc). Repackage items damaged in warehouse (includes inspecting and testing items if applicable). Perform Rework for requests received through Segment Quality (includes reworking items, repackaging, relabeling, etc.) Assist RGA technicians with testing as needed. Job Description SUMMARY: The Quality Technician is primarily responsible for ensuring product quality by conducting inspections, verifying compliance with quality standards, supporting assembly, molding and paint operations, and maintaining accurate documentation.
