Kings Island is seeking a Fiberglass Technician to perform highquality fiberglass repair, fabrication, and finishing work across the entire park, including rides, theming, dcor, vehicles, and all waterpark (Soak City) attractions and features. This role ensures that all fiberglass assets remain safe, durable, and visually outstanding for our guests. Responsibilities: Perform fiberglass repairs, fabrication, laminating, and refinishing on ride components, slides, water features, props, signage, vehicles, and theming throughout both Kings Island and Soak City Water Park. Inspect fiberglass assets for cracks, wear, delamination, fading, leaks, and structural concerns; recommend repair methods and timelines. Prepare surfaces through sanding, grinding, cutting, filling, and shaping to ensure proper bonding and quality finishes. Mix and apply resins, catalysts, epoxies, fillers, and gel coats according to specifications and safety standards. Work from technical drawings, repair guides, and verbal instructions to execute accurate, efficient repairs. Maintain tools, PPE, work areas, and equipment in safe, organized condition and follow all OSHA, waterpark, and park safety procedures. Support seasonal projects, operational downtime, water slide rehabilitation, emergency repairs, and special assignments as needed. Collaborate with Maintenance, Rides, Waterpark, Fabrication, and Creative departments on multidisciplinary repair and construction projects. Qualifications: Experience in fiberglass repair, auto body, marine repair, or composite materials (water slide or waterpark fiberglass experience a plus). Strong knowledge of fiberglass layup, patching, structural repair, gel coat application, color matching, and finishing techniques. Ability to work safely with resins, chemicals, power tools, sanders, grinders, and cutting tools in both dry park and waterpark environments. High attention to detail with pride in craftsmanship, appearance, and longterm durability. Ability to climb, lift, bend, kneel, and work outdoors, including elevated and confined spaces. Strong teamwork, communication, and problemsolving skills. Willingness to support carpentry tasks and learn on the job. Inspects product/processes to ensure their conformity to specifications through visual inspection, dimensional validation, and process audits. Communicates any identified non-conformities to Operations Associates, Supervisors, and Quality. Ensure reworked product fully meets the product specifications and that non-conforming product is handled appropriately. Responsibilities • Create tests, test groups, and quality associations for critical part characteristics within D365 to generate quality orders when required. • Complete inspections of incoming products, production parts, and/or outgoing shipments to ensure conformity. Perform daily cycle counts as required. • Report identified non-conformances to the appropriate leadership team. Conduct different types of quality/safety tests and checks to determine quality of raw materials, products currently being processed and finished products. Perform standardized qualitative and quantitative tests to determine physical or chemical properties of food products, documenting all results accurately and timely and reporting any deviations to Plant Management. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform pre-operational sanitation review of the food processing environment and equipment. Sample environmental surfaces, finished product and ingredients for microbiological and chemistry attributes that are designed to monitor for acceptable hygienic conditions and chemical characteristics. Collect packages and perform tests associated with the specified acceptable quality limits (AQLs), such as weight, temperature, verification of package code dates and magnet checks. Print labels on the label machine if required. Place product on hold when it does not meet AQLs. Little work is performed in a comfortable, indoor, office-like facility. Most work is performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Kings Island is seeking a Fiberglass Technician to perform high‑quality fiberglass repair, fabrication, and finishing work across the entire park, including rides, theming, décor, vehicles, and all waterpark (Soak City) attractions and features. This role ensures that all fiberglass assets remain safe, durable, and visually outstanding for our guests. Responsibilities: Perform fiberglass repairs, fabrication, laminating, and refinishing on ride components, slides, water features, props, signage, vehicles, and theming throughout both Kings Island and Soak City Water Park. Inspect fiberglass assets for cracks, wear, delamination, fading, leaks, and structural concerns; recommend repair methods and timelines. Prepare surfaces through sanding, grinding, cutting, filling, and shaping to ensure proper bonding and quality finishes. Mix and apply resins, catalysts, epoxies, fillers, and gel coats according to specifications and safety standards. Work from technical drawings, repair guides, and verbal instructions to execute accurate, efficient repairs. Maintain tools, PPE, work areas, and equipment in safe, organized condition and follow all OSHA, waterpark, and park safety procedures. Support seasonal projects, operational downtime, water slide rehabilitation, emergency repairs, and special assignments as needed. Collaborate with Maintenance, Rides, Waterpark, Fabrication, and Creative departments on multi‑disciplinary repair and construction projects. Qualifications: Experience in fiberglass repair, auto body, marine repair, or composite materials (water slide or waterpark fiberglass experience a plus). Strong knowledge of fiberglass lay‑up, patching, structural repair, gel coat application, color matching, and finishing techniques. Ability to work safely with resins, chemicals, power tools, sanders, grinders, and cutting tools in both dry park and waterpark environments. High attention to detail with pride in craftsmanship, appearance, and long‑term durability. Ability to climb, lift, bend, kneel, and work outdoors, including elevated and confined spaces. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Willingness to support carpentry tasks and learn on the job. Willingness to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and variable shifts as required by park operations.
