We are looking for 3rd shift availability. Shift hours are Friday through Sunday 5am to 5pm.
• Coordinate between production and DOT Inspectors to ensure DOT witnessing of production operations and QC hold points are being completed.
• Perform visual inspection of material as required.
• Perform layout checks as needed.
• Perform rotational capacity tests on bolts prior to use in shop.
• Work with outside inspectors to resolve quality issues on the floor.
• Monitor welder qualification tests.
• Monitor and record welding parameters to insure compliance to approved WPS.
• Be able to read and understand the Welding code and Specifications.
• Perform Dimensional checks on lay downs and shop assemblies. Use Total Station as needed.
• Develop improvements in the quality control process to facilitate flow of work through shop.

• Work with welders and leadmen to maintain quality.
• Be available, by use of a radio, etc. to perform needed checks.

• Ability to be flexible to work either early or late within assigned shift as needed.
• Coordinate inspection of QC hold points between production and DOT Inspectors.

Must have CWI Certification

The role involves developing an Equipment Log using various forms, one-lines, drawings, BOMs, etc., and identifying OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment to ensure its proper documentation. Responsibilities include tracking the receipt of proper OFCI, maintaining a tracking document, and coordinating with Materials, Quality, Production, and Project Management groups upon receipt. You will act as a liaison to the project management group to ensure clients are informed about what has and hasn't been received, prepare receiving reports, and coordinate with the NETA testing group to prioritize their testing sequence. Additionally, the position involves completing clients' prescribed notification systems such as Procore, ACC, BIM, etc., tracking equipment through the assembly process to ensure proper usage, and ensuring that equipment will work in the process as designed (e.g., stub-ups, openings). A key expectation is to be a team player and professionally vocal as issues arise.

• Ensure compliance to all regulatory standards including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), SSOP's (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), etc.
• Maintain full compliance with the Metal Detection Program and associated requirements
• Maintain full compliance with internal SOPs while maintaining integrity on designated paperwork

• Ensure compliance of the Traceability and Recall Management Systems

Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
**Test **finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, and appearance.
Conduct and document individual tool calibration and verification per company standards.
Compile, interpret, and document statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.
Process non-conformance reports when incorrect material is received.
**Ensure **finished product is packaged, marked, tagged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportation.
**Analyze **inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical diploma or Associate degree in quality engineering, quality assurance, quality control or equivalent experience and education.
Three to five years related experience in manufacturing which includes working in quality and/or responsibility for inspection of raw materials, parts, in-process materials and finished goods.
Knowledge of welding and/or powder coat processes strongly preferred.
Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, paint film gauge, squares, measuring tape, profile gauge, and various other precision measuring devices.
Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) is a plus.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor).
Must possess strong attention to detail.
