We are looking for 3rd shift availability. Shift hours are Friday through Sunday 5am to 5pm. • Coordinate between Veritas Steel Production and DOT Inspectors to ensure DOT witnessing of production operations and QC hold points are being completed. • Perform visual inspection of material as required. • Perform layout checks as needed. • Perform rotational capacity tests on bolts prior to use in shop. • Work with outside inspectors to resolve quality issues on the floor. • Monitor welder qualification tests. • Monitor and record welding parameters to insure compliance to approved WPS. • Be able to read and understand the Welding code and Specifications. • Perform Dimensional checks on lay downs and shop assemblies. Use Total Station as needed. • Develop improvements in the quality control process to facilitate flow of work through shop. Primary Responsibilities: How will you accomplish the Objectives? • Perform in a manner that will assure quality work flowing through the shop. • Work with welders and leadmen to maintain quality. • Be available, by use of a radio, etc. to perform needed checks. • Maintain a log of work done, and complete required reports. • Interpret the Specifications and applicable Codes. • Ability to be flexible to work either early or late within assigned shift as needed. • Coordinate inspection of QC hold points between production and DOT Inspectors. • Use and encourage safe working habits. What they will be doing/ working on: This person will be working on electro-mechanical systems, helping to design, test, troubleshoot, and assemble prototype electronic circuits and specialized test equipment. They will work with both hardware and software tools (like oscilloscopes and signal generators) to diagnose and fix issues in electrical and mechanical components. They will also: Assemble and test electronic circuits (analog, digital, and video-based). Identify and fix malfunctions in electronic systems. Perform advanced electrical diagnostics on components and subassemblies. Mentor and guide junior technicians, checking their work for quality. Find alternative components for obsolete parts. Use soldering skills to repair and modify circuits. This role is hands-on and requires strong troubleshooting, assembly, and testing skills for electronic hardware. What You'll Do Assemble and test prototype electronics and systems (analog, digital, video, logic). Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix issues down to the component level. Use tools like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and test software to validate performance. Help build and check out custom test setups and experimental equipment. Collaborate with engineers and other techs to improve designs and solve technical problems. Mentor junior technicians and perform quality checks before final testing. What You Bring Strong hands-on skills with electrical and mechanical assembly. Experience reading schematics and circuit diagrams. The Quality Technician ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and audits. This role involves collaborating with production, engineering, customer service, and sales teams in identifying quality issues, and assisting with implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This individual will report to the Quality Supervisor and be a strong partner to our operators and supervisors on the floor. This person will have to captivate and communicate with all departments to address issues, propose resolutions, and see through the quality vision for the company. They will also maintain proper reporting, documentation, and any other necessary routines for the department. Maintain and organize quality logs, including Nonconforming Material (NCM) records, Returned Material Authorization (RMA) records, and scrap tracking logs. Assist in monitoring scrap trends and providing relevant inspection data to production. Track and maintain the calibration status of measuring tools and equipment. Participate in internal audits to verify compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements. Assist with quality documentation activities such as PPAPs or first article inspections, when needed. Support training efforts by helping production employees understand quality standards and proper inspection methods. Participate in problem-solving activities to help identify root causes of quality issues and support corrective actions. Work independently to perform inspections, maintain logs, and resolve routine quality issues with limited on-site supervision. Communicate end-of-shift updates, nonconformances, and outstanding issues to the incoming shift and QC leadership. Coordinate with operators and supervisors to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the shift. Provide flexible inspection support across multiple production departments as required. Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits. **Test **finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, and appearance. Conduct and document individual tool calibration and verification per company standards. Compile, interpret, and document statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations. Process non-conformance reports when incorrect material is received. **Ensure **finished product is packaged, marked, tagged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportation. **Analyze **inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: Technical diploma or Associate degree in quality engineering, quality assurance, quality control or equivalent experience and education. Three to five years related experience in manufacturing which includes working in quality and/or responsibility for inspection of raw materials, parts, in-process materials and finished goods. Knowledge of welding and/or powder coat processes strongly preferred. Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, paint film gauge, squares, measuring tape, profile gauge, and various other precision measuring devices. Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) is a plus. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor). Must possess strong attention to detail.
