Qualys CEO and leadership

As CEO, Sumedh leads the company’s vision, strategic direction and implementation. He joined Qualys in 2003 in engineering and grew within the company, taking various leadership roles focused on helping Qualys deliver on its platform vision. Since 2014, he has served as Chief Product Officer at Qualys, where he oversaw all things product, including engineering, development, product management, cloud operations, DevOps, and customer support. A product fanatic and engineer at heart, he is a driving force behind expanding the platform from Vulnerability Management into broader areas of security and compliance, helping customers consolidate their security stack. This includes the rollout of the game-changing VMDR (Vulnerability Management, Detection and Response) that continually detects and prevents risk to their systems, Multi-Vector EDR, which focuses on protecting endpoints as well as Container Security, Compliance and Web Application Security solutions. Sumedh was also instrumental in the build-up of multiple Qualys sites resulting in a global 24x7 follow-the-sun product team.

Sumedh is a long-time proponent of SaaS and cloud computing. He previously worked at Intacct, a cloud-based financial and accounting software provider. He also worked at Northwest Airlines developing complex algorithms for its yield and revenue management reservation system. Sumedh has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering with distinction from the University of Pune.

As Chief Revenue Officer, Allan is responsible for all aspects of revenue performance driven by focusing on delivering sustainable customer value and business outcomes, the leadership of the worldwide sales and partner organization, and continuing Qualys’ growth momentum.

Allan has more than 20 years of executive sales experience, building and scaling world-class software and services organizations from private growth companies to leading public companies. He previously served as the Chief Revenue Officer of Trustwave, a leader in cybersecurity threat detection and response. Prior to Trustwave, Allan held executive sales leadership positions in public and private growth companies BigFix, Conga, SecurityFocus, CA, IBM and Symantec. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Kansas.

As Chief Financial Officer of Qualys, Joo Mi has worldwide responsibility for all elements of the company’s finance organization, including finance, accounting, investor relations, treasury and tax. A strategic and operational finance executive, Joo Mi brings more than 15 years of combined experience in financial planning and operations, investor relations, investment banking, and economic consulting.

Joo Mi previously served as the CFO of Impact, a leader in partnership automation, and prior to that was the CFO of Aera Technology, an enterprise SaaS company. From 2016 to 2018, she served as the Vice President of FP&A and Investor Relations at Qualys. Earlier in her career, Joo Mi was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan and an economic consultant at Ernst & Young. She received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

As Vice President of Human Resources, Rima helps the Qualys workforce maintain a high level of performance by serving as an employee champion and cultivating the corporate community. She brings more than 15 years of domestic and international human resources experience to the company. Prior to joining Qualys, Rima was in HR at VeriSign as part of the mergers and acquisitions group where she was responsible for investigating potential acquisitions, focusing on talent assessment, management style, cost analysis of benefits, and stock plan transfers. Rima joined VeriSign as part of its acquisition of Signio, where she served as Director of Human Resources, spearheading employee practices and all other aspects of HR. She also led the Human Resources departments at NetObjects, Inc. and Verity, Inc. where she played an integral role in taking both companies through a public offering. Rima holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Jose State University.
