Since this transition, Mark has led the SEC and public reporting of three different public companies and served as the Chief Accounting Officer for two of those companies. Mark's primary focus in these roles include i) making processes efficient and automating processes as much as possible, ii) enabling people to perform to the best of their capabilities and to continually learn new skills and improve their capabilities and iii) provide valuable financial information to internal and external stakeholders. In 2020, Mark continues to build value and solve problems at his current employer, Quanex Building Products, where he serves as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller.In 2015, Mark began a journey to educate himself on real estate investing and develop his own "side business" to improve the performance of his personal investment portfolio with investments in real estate. As of 2020, that business has turned just over 100 transactions involving raw vacant land. That business now partners with several other successful real estate investors, syndicates real estate investments and has started adding residential rental properties. Additionally, Mark now helps educate others that are interested in learning how easily they can take control of their investment portfolio, invest in real estate and improve the financial performance of their portfolio. Throughout Mark's career, he has built relationships with 100s of business people across the U.S. and around the world. Mark has traveled to 48 of the 50 U.S. states and to over 50 countries around the world. Currently, Mark is partnering with several other people to write a book focusing on bringing value to customers, solving problems and leaving a legacy.
