About this Role The Safety Coordinator at Ampacity is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs across our clean energy projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between field operations, management, and safety personnel to ensure regulatory compliance, support safety culture development, and maintain the highest standards of workplace safety across our organization. Coordinate and lead the Safety Committee; make periodic safety and housekeeping inspections throughout facilities. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in safety procedures, risk mitigation, and emergency response planning. Implement best practices to enhance the overall safety performance. Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility and/or corporate Operations Management - Acting as the site EHS contact with government EHS agencies and insurers. Lead and/or participate in the investigation of employee concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations/Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation, and follow-up. Design and maintain New Hire Safety Orientation program including providing the required training for newly hired teammates. Handle Workers' Compensation matters including ensuring accident reporting procedures are followed at all facilities. Maintain OSHA 300 Log, complete annual reports, and post. Oversee both external and internal safety audits and inspections; manage corrective actions with any non-compliances. Work with employees at all levels of the organization. Perform any other responsibilities and assignments as needed.

We are a leading fencing contractor serving Kansas City, Topeka, and Manhattan looking to hire a Safety Coordinator. This individual will play a key role in promoting and enforcing our safety standards across multiple project sites. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish and comfortable working in a field-based role that involves frequent travel. General construction background needed, safety background preferred but not required. Will NEED to have a driver's license, clean driving record, and will need to be able to speak Spanish. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular job-site inspections and audits across project locations to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor and enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions in both English and Spanish. Assist with accident investigations and prepare reports, identifying root causes and corrective actions. Work closely with field crews and supervisors to promote a culture of safety. Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and records for all job sites. Serve as a resource for employees on safety protocols and best practices. Participate in new hire safety orientations. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of construction experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Willingness and ability to travel frequently between job sites (up to 50%+ of the time). No overnight travel will be needed. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards. (Preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Preferred (Not Required): OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Experience working in fencing, civil, or infrastructure-related construction projects. CPR/First Aid certification.
