CIVIL SENIOR ASSOCIATE ENGINEER JOB DUTIES
Concurrently manages a variety of civil engineering Public Works projects.
Tracks project scope, budgets, and schedules to ensure fulfillment of contract commitments and profitability.
Effectively manages quality assurance and quality control.
Uses technical knowledge to prepare PS&E for water resources projects, including water, sewer, and storm drains (pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, storage reservoirs, etc.).
Prepares analysis and calculations for hydraulics and hydrology.
Primary interface with clients on project coordination and design and follow-up to ensure quality standards are met, efficiency levels are maintained, and client satisfaction, respect and confidence are assured.

Requirements:

The mechanical engineering technician will be primarily responsible for boat support during sonobuoy lot acceptance testing at US Navy test facility off the coast of San Diego. Lot acceptance testing occurs approximately for 2 weeks each month - required to be on site/on-boat during this time. Test support includes product performance monitoring, mechanical handling of test samples, any trouble shooting (as required) and initial documentation for failure analysis. Support of hardware post-test will also be required.

THE ROLE
Under general direction from the Chief Engineer and Engineering Supervisor, the Engineering Technician II performs a variety of semi-skilled to skilled inspection, testing, maintenance, installation and repair tasks in multiple trades to maintain Convention Center buildings, systems, equipment, furnishings, fixtures and campus in proper condition; and to provide temporary electrical, air, water and gas services in support of exhibitions, trade shows and other events. These internships are open to current undergraduate students from freshmen through juniors who are pursuing careers in fields related to our industry. Positions are available at various T&M office locations and typically run from late May through August.

Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
Previous internship experience is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Strong analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.
For engineering-specific internships:
Pursuing a degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
