Party Chief supports the foundation and slab crews providing layout and quality control. Activities include layout/line and grade, interpreting drawings, updating drawings with RFIs,. Daily work planning and helping to ensure contractibility process. Would work on projects of various sizes ranging from small scale commercial to high rise construction.
Duties:
Layout foundation and slab crews
Communicates with clientele, Project Manager, Superintendent and Field Crew
Delegate tasks to fellow crew members
Locate appropriate land monuments and surveyed sites for construction, topography, as-builts
Layout anchor bolts, embeds, brick shelves, wall locations, footing locations, etc..
Process and analyze collected data and draft plans using Carlson Explorer
Check readings, enter rod heights, enter and check back sights
Perform series of detailed operational steps or processes to gather and document measurements and readings.
Read blueprints and interpret details
Approves Concrete pre placement and post placement checklists
Attends and participates in weekly safety meetings and project meetings as needed
Complies with proper safety procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science, Civil Engineering Technology
4-6 years of Field / Jobsite experience required
Concrete Construction experience is preferred
Blue print reading
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Word and Excel
Familiarity with Surveying with equipment; Topcon Total Station, Carlson Explorer II Dc, Leica GPS, Trimble GPS., etc.
OSHA 10, Valid Driver's license, reliable transportation

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to provide cost control and estimating services on our key technology client's large-scale data center construction program. To be successful in this role you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role.
Responsibilities:
Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
Provide estimate and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
Review and participate with the design services team and general contractor, in the development of the cost estimates.
Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure that their data is accurate.
Communicate or meet with general contractor and owner project manager to gather status information to prepare a cost estimate update.
Prepare written comments to the general contractor's submissions, including the executive summary.
Coordinate all sources of cost information for cost discussions and suppliers direct from NPA, subs, quantities from A/Es.
Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
Work proactively with minimal supervision to resolve scheduling issues.
Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects. Complete timely, accurate cost checking and valuation processes.
Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes.
Manage Cost impact / contingency management and commitment tracking logs.

SUMMARY
This role supports the technical and administrative support for survey-related activities. This role assists in compiling, organizing, and preparing mapping and land conveyance documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data, drafting, and documentation across project teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist in reviewing and organizing incoming survey data packages related to right-of-way, property boundaries, and land acquisition
* Support the preparation of legal descriptions and plat maps by gathering relevant information and updating templates under the supervision of a licensed surveyor or project lead
* Assist in assembling QA/QC packages, including closure reports, research materials, and supporting documentation for review
* Conduct basic research on land title records, deeds, and survey data, under guidance, to support mapping and documentation efforts
* Input and edit data using CAD and mapping software as directed by the Project Surveyor or technical staff
* Help maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for survey documents, plats, and legal files
* Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with survey standards and relevant legal requirements
* Provide general technical support to survey staff on assigned tasks and help track deliverables and document status
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
* Working knowledge of surveying principles including boundary determination, real property laws, and survey mathematics
* Proficiency in interpreting and creating legal descriptions and associated plat maps
* Familiarity with the California Coordinate System and its application in mapping and survey work

We are seeking an experienced Review Surveyor to serve as the agency's technical authority for right of way boundary control, survey review, and mapping analysis in support of federal land acquisition and infrastructure programs. This role will ensure all survey products meet federal and state standards, project requirements, and legal defensibility.
The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with extensive experience in survey review for right of way acquisition, corridor projects, and eminent domain cases. In addition, the candidate will hold a Licensed State Land Surveyor (LSLS) specialized credential from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS).
Accurate and defensible survey work is the foundation of all right of way acquisition and eminent domain cases. The agency requires a senior-level Review Surveyor to safeguard legal integrity, reduce litigation risks, and ensure compliance across survey deliverables. The addition of this position will improve project efficiency, reduce contract costs, and strengthen technical oversight of complex right of way projects nationwide.
Responsibilities
Review, verify, and approve survey plats, legal descriptions, and right of way maps prepared by in-house or contract surveyors.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local survey standards, including boundary law, cadastral requirements, and right of way regulations.
Provide authoritative technical recommendations to project managers, appraisers, engineers, and attorneys on survey and boundary matters.
Serve as an expert witness in administrative or judicial proceedings involving boundary disputes, right of way acquisition, and eminent domain.
Oversee quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of survey deliverables for accuracy, precision, and legal sufficiency.
Develop and maintain survey policies, technical manuals, and guidance for right of way acquisition and management.
Provide training and mentorship to junior survey staff and acquisition professionals.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (engineering, appraisal, legal) to resolve complex land and right of way issues.
Qualifications

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), active and in good standing in at least one of the following States, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and/or California.

Your role and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for collecting data on potential emissions from natural gas utility facilities and conducting field investigations to determine whether further follow-up is required. This includes both driving/operating specialized equipment to gather initial data and performing on-foot inspections to ensure accurate and thorough monitoring of natural gas emissions.
Technicians operate from a company vehicle to survey assigned map areas daily. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and using company-provided equipment, including a cell phone and specialized software, to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Utilizing advanced software tools is essential for analyzing data, generating detailed reports, and ensuring precise leak detection.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Driving and operating advanced mobile leak detection equipment: Typically, a mid-sized SUV equipped with a methane/ethane sensor and other equipment to identify and locate potential natural gas emissions.
Conducting surveys and inspections: Using driving data in order to survey indicated areas in order to detect, grade, and log emissions.
Data collection and reporting: Recording findings and creating detailed reports.

Along with walking, technicians will bend, kneel, and stand frequently throughout the day. Equipment can range in weight from 2-25 pounds. The ability to read and understand utility maps is required to complete daily tasks. This role will entail approximately 80% driving surveys and 20% follow-up investigations on foot. This position requires up to 50% overnight travel to various regions to support field operations and client services.

Establish effective communication with all users of survey information (including photogrammetric, construction, design, and traffic operations) to assure complete accomplishment of work in full compliance with requirements for subsequent operations
Develop Right of Way plans
Translate field survey data into end-user documents using AutoCAD and other software products, usually for boundary surveys. Will also include Topographic surveys and ALTA surveys
Prepare a property description for recording purposes of boundary retracement parcels and new subdivisions, following state and local ordinances
Ability to interpret construction plans for the preparation of field layout
Plot to scale deeds of property involving all types of descriptions including leases, multiple ownerships, rights-of-way, and easements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or Natural Resource Management with a Land Surveying Technology concentration, obtained or in the process of obtaining
Entry-level candidates with a degree in Surveying will be considered
Proficient with MicroStation, Open Roads, and GeoPak
Willing to obtain their PS; OH PS license preferred
AutoCAD experience required
DOT right-of-way prequel designer/reviewer preferred
Proven ability to collaborate and work as an effective part of a team

This position can be centered in The Kleingers Group office in any of these locations: West Chester, OH, Columbus, OH, Louisville, KY, Tampa/St. Pete, FL, Indianapolis, IN, or Akron, OH.
Essential Functions and Requirements:
5+ years of inside survey tech experience
Perform calculations required for stakeout, boundary, or topographic surveys.
Interpret notes, sketches and records of data obtained.
Understand all technology, including GPS, Robotic total stations, and conventional survey methods.
Coordinate with field and office personnel and provide office support for field staff.
Proficient use of AutoCAD, Civil3D and other surveying software.
Verify the accuracy, thoroughness and reasonability of data and calculations.
Recognize inconsistencies and alert manager in a timely manner.
On occasion travel to job sites - follow all safety standards and policies. Wear protective equipment as directed.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere
