Quasar Industries company history timeline

1967

Founded in 1967 by Leroy Peterson, Quasar Industries was one of the first prototype shops in the country to utilize lasers in its manufacturing process.

1974

In 1974, when Matsushita (pronounced mot-SHOOSH-tah) bought the plant, every 100 completed television sets rolling off conveyor lines needed an average of 140 adjustments or repairs to meet quality standards.

Robert Gerson, senior editor of Television Digest, said that Quasar has held steady at 5 percent of the market in the last three years, compared with 7 percent in 1974.

2015

Quasar Industries quality management system is certified to ISO9001:2015 by Intertek.
