    Contribute to the overall QA Program of the laboratory. Responsible for licensure, accreditation and inspection of the laboratory. Support compliance with document control policies for all procedures and related documents. Assist in the prompt and complete reporting of quality issues and ensure that revised and amended reports are in compliance with the SOP. Conduct internal audits to ensure laboratory is inspection ready at all times. Assist with external audits. Review protocols and make recommendations to enhance QA Program. Coordinate compliance with applicable regulations through documentation, audits, and corrective action. Perform reviews of departmental quality records. Collaborate with management in the testing department to investigate and resolve nonconformances. Audit training and competency program. Promote continuous quality improvement by collaborating with management to implement standardization and process improvement. Perform special projects as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the business needs or customer requirements. The PSR II - Site Lead draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. Ensure staff is following all safety precautions by wearing a clean, button lab coat, gloves and face shield when required. Assist supervisors with the implementation of SOPs for phlebotomy services in accordance with Quest Diagnostics guidelines. The Senior Medical Technologist is proficient in all principle duties of a Medical Technologist I and II. This Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for complex laboratory testing and has broad decision-making authority and independence. The Senior Med Tech is required to provide technical direction to staff regarding complex and non-routine testing and is a source of contact of inquiries from clients or sales representatives. The Senior is responsible for investigating and resolving analytical testing problems and recommending course of action. The Senior is responsible for training and development of staff under the direction of the Supervisor in accordance to the appropriate federal, state and local guidelines. Required Work Experience: Minimum of five to seven years clinical experience with two years in present department. Preferred Work Experience: If HEW certified, eight years or more in same department.
