Specimen Processing Group Lead - Cleveland, OH - Tuesday - Saturday 3:00pm-11:30pm
This position assists the department supervisors by performing combinations of the following activities: Schedule coordination, general supervision of all Specimen Technicians, providing input to supervisors for performance review and disciplinary action. The Group leader typically leads 8 - 12 employees, is involved in process and compliance audits and may be responsible for performing duties listed below. Priority consideration given to internal candidates for this position.
Pay Range: $22.38+ per hour; Employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
Demonstrates a proficiency and understanding of all job duties in Specimen Processing department
Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills; ability to work effectively with the technical departments to resolve problems and gain cooperation as needed
Assists all SPT's in proper test selection and problem resolution
Answers and clarifies employee questions (including laboratory personnel) regarding processing
Provides appropriate feedback to supervisor(s) when problems arise.
Completes appropriate shift paperwork, setting up for production, and insuring that their staff has cleaned up at the end of the shift
Monitors supply inventory, ordering supplies as needed
Repairs and maintains department equipment notifying appropriate personnel when repairs beyond the general scope are required
Assists in or performing all training, cross training and department auditing functions as assigned by the supervisor(s)
Perform all other job duties as assigned
In addition to above, the group leader may assist the supervisor(s) in the following:
Prioritizing work assignments
Monitoring production and activity of all SPT's in order to meet departmental deadlines
Coaching for improved performance by providing appropriate feedback and maintaining a positive work environment
Ensures effective employee utilization through workforce planning to include staffing weekends and holidays
Makes suggestions and recommendations to enhance workflow
Helps manage department overtime
Ensures that all Quest Diagnostics Incorporated and Specimen Processing policies and procedures are adhered to
Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
Internal candidates minimum of one year in SPT III/related role
Preferred Work Experience:
3 years experience in a laboratory environment with Specimen Processing experience preferred.
Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Performs multiple tasks simultaneously and with interruptions, physical and mental stress

Job Summary
Lead Behavioral Health Clinician works in coordination with interdisciplinary teams to organize, prepare, and deliver evidence based clinical services in the Child/Adolescent partial hospitalization program. Clinical services include individual, group and family therapy. Maintains ethical principles and professional standards of practice in adherence to the discipline's professional code of ethics. Assumes leadership responsibilities as assigned by clinical leadership. May assume clinical oversight of daily operations in the absence of Program Manager.
Key responsibilities of Lead Behavioral Health Clinician:

The Team Leader plays a pivotal role in launching and sustaining the ACT model in accordance with the Dartmouth Assertive Community Treatment Scale (DACTS) fidelity standards. This role is 50% clinical, providing direct services to individuals with serious mental illness, and 50% administrative, offering leadership and operational support to a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Functions:
Provide direct, community-based clinical services to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders, including assessment, treatment planning, medication support (if licensed), and crisis response.
Lead daily team meetings, supervise clinical decision-making, and ensure team coordination and communication.
Oversee fidelity to the ACT model as defined by DACTS, including staffing composition, caseload size, service delivery structure, and performance benchmarks.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of a high-functioning multidisciplinary ACT team, including community behavioral health workers, nurses, prescribers, and peer specialists.
Monitor and manage team productivity, quality assurance, and documentation standards in compliance with Medicaid and other regulatory requirements.
Serve as liaison with community partners, housing providers, hospitals, legal systems, and other key stakeholders.
Facilitate staff development through reflective supervision, training, and ongoing performance feedback.
Provide backup for team members as needed to ensure continuity of care and 24/7 coverage responsibilities.
Participate in program evaluation, strategic planning, and grant or contract reporting.?

Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.

Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Essential Functions:
Provide direct, community-based clinical services to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders, including assessment, treatment planning, medication support (if licensed), and crisis response.
Lead daily team meetings, supervise clinical decision-making, and ensure team coordination and communication.
Oversee fidelity to the ACT model as defined by DACTS, including staffing composition, caseload size, service delivery structure, and performance benchmarks.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of a high-functioning multidisciplinary ACT team, including community behavioral health workers, nurses, prescribers, and peer specialists.
Monitor and manage team productivity, quality assurance, and documentation standards in compliance with Medicaid and other regulatory requirements.
Serve as liaison with community partners, housing providers, hospitals, legal systems, and other key stakeholders.
Facilitate staff development through reflective supervision, training, and ongoing performance feedback.
Provide backup for team members as needed to ensure continuity of care and 24/7 coverage responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:
Master s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Ohio licensure is required: LISW, LPCC, LIMFT, or licensed psychologist.

Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

High-Risk Cardiology
High acuity telemetry units
Patients are admitted from ED, CCU, admitting, procedure areas and other hospital units, and from outside hospitals. Most of our patient population is those diagnosed with myocardial infarction requiring cardiac catheterization, congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, and pulmonary hypertension.
Cardiac PCU
Most patients are diagnosed with congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, and other life-threatening conditions. With this known diagnosis many may require cardiac catheterization and stent placement. As a leader in advanced therapies for heart failure, we offer care to pre- and post- heart transplant and Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients. This unit specifically cares for readmitted LVADs and manage complex issues like pump clots, stroke, and manage medications.
Vascular Surgery PCU
Our nursing staff provides pre/post-operative care to the wide variety of interventions needed for peripheral vascular disease patients. Surgical services include endoluminal and open repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, thoracic outlet decompression, carotid artery angioplasty/stenting, carotid endarterectomies, dialysis access (fistulas/grafts), catheter-directed thrombolysis, and various bypasses and stents for aorto-iliac and upper/lower extremity occlusive disease.
Cardiothoracic PCU
Post Thoracic Surgery patients ranging from lung transplants, lung surgeries, and esophagectomy. In addition, we care for the Cardiothoracic population after they stabilize from the ICU. We will take care of Pre/Post CABG, Valve Repairs, Heart transplants, and other surgical procedures.
Cardiac Surgery PCU
We provide post-operative care to cardiac surgery patients. Our most frequent procedures are CABG (coronary artery bypass graft), Cardiac Valve Repair/Replacement, LVAD (left ventricular device implantation), Aortic repairs, and MAZE.
Cardiac ICU
Patients with MIs, cardiomyopathies and a variety of irregular rhythms, including life-threatening v-fib and v-tach, device designated floor LVAD, IMPELLA, intra-aortic ballon pump, Non post operative side, pre surgical heart intervention patients.
Cardiothoracic ICU
Patients are CTICU, had surgery from their esophagus to diaphragm, open heart surgery, cabbages, valve replacements, active heart failure program (heart is failing and only thing to do for is to add devices) ventricular assist device. Surgical Post Operative area, patients under cardiac umbrella, heart transplants. Under thoracic procedures, lung transplants and lung surgeries. Vascular patient population, specific to vascular procedures with the aorta. CT patient population and Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular.

Division 2100 is a fast paced high risk cardiology division at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Ensures that narcotic records are accurate for shift, for the unit Omni cell and for those residents assigned. Notifies the Supervisor of all drug and narcotic discrepancies noted on your shift.
Maintains effective discipline through communication, coaching, counseling and corrective action.
Completes performance evaluations for Certified Nursing Assistants and provide feedback to staff regarding performance.
Consults with the resident's physician in planning resident care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc. as necessary.
Schedules daily rounds to observe resident status, staff needs, as well as staff adherence to Policy and Procedure.
Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information and staff maintains resident's dignity and confidentiality.
Reviews complaints and grievances made by the resident/family and makes a written/oral report to the Supervisor.
Assures that a stock level of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc. is maintained on premises at all times to adequately meet the needs of the resident.
Meets with residents, and/or family members, as necessary. Reports problem areas to the Supervisor.
Assists the staff nurse in monitoring seriously ill residents.
Gives/receives the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
Orders prescribed medications, supplies and equipment as necessary and in accordance with established policies.
Participates in the orientation of new residents/family members to facility.
Ensures that all nursing service personnel follow established departmental policies and procedures.
Transcribes physician's orders to electronic Physician Order record, medications administration records and treatment/care plan as required.
Provides information to the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee as requested.
Monitors shift's personnel to assure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
Keeps the Supervisor informed of the status of residents and problem areas through written/oral reports.
Recommends to the supervisor the equipment and supply needs of the department.
Reports problem areas to the Supervisor.
Performs administrative duties such as completing Medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc. as necessary.
Monitors medication passes and treatment schedules to assure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
Requisitions and arranges for diagnostic and therapeutic services as ordered by the physician and in accordance with established procedures as necessary.
Administers professional services such as; catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, taking blood, giving massages and range of motion exercises, care of the dead/dying, etc. as required.
Develops work assignments, and/or assists Staff nurses in completing and performing such tasks.
Conduct regular rounding & makes reports and recommendations to Nursing Administration concerning operations of their unit.
Attends and participates in continuing educational programs designed to keep abreast of changes in this profession, as well as to maintain licensure on a current status.
Participates in survey (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
Assists in the preparation of the Nursing Services Department's budget for equipment, supplies and labor.
Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining safety standards, infection control protocols and procedures for reporting hazardous conditions or equipment.
Carries out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned in an effort to improve processes involved in health care delivery and resident quality of life.
Follows established policies and procedures in support of CH QAPI efforts to ensure high quality care.
Qualifications:
Must possess, as a minimum, one year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN in New Jersey.

The PSR III - Site Lead draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR III - Site Lead has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR III - Site Lead will direct daily activity at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) and leads more than one PSR on site. The PSR III - Site Lead can provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles. The PSR III - Site Lead must ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time. The PSR III - Site Lead demonstrates Quest Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to work and direct daily activity in a doctor's office, a patient service center, in a house call environment, long-term care or as business needs dictate. Must be able to step in for a PSR II and lead one or more PSR on site. Required Work Experience:

Keyboard/data entry experience.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long-Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
