Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jack). Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead. Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders. Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift. Ability to safely access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, customer service driven Stock Associate for our Tod's and Roger Vivier shoe concessions within Bloomingdale's 59th street. The Stock Associate performs a number of fundamentally important functions: warehouse management, inventory control, goods receiving and delivery. The Stock Associate works under the supervision of the Shop Manager. The Stock Associate will work in the stock room, which allows sales staff on the sales floor to provide timely assistance to customers. It ensures fast, simple, and accurate picking of products that translates into shorter wait times for the customer. Duties and responsibilities Observe and apply TOD'S policies and procedures, ensuring that all directives are observed Track and manage rotating inventory, updating the system when necessary without interfering with the activities on the sales floor Participate in goods receiving and ensure quality control Receive goods, open boxes or crates and verify that the goods received, the transport documents, and the back office system all correspond. Stock Associate (P/T) The Stock Associate is responsible for verifying merchandise receipts, deliveries, and placement of merchandise in the stockroom.
