200 Rhode Islanders bought lifetime memberships that (with tax included) cost each new member $1,002.00.On September 10, 1960, a celebrity exhibition match was played before members and guests at the Quidnessett Golf and Country Club.
On October 11, 1960, “The Evening Bulletin” reported on its front page that, in a series of fast-breaking moves, Quidnessett Golf & Country Club had been placed in receivership.
