About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. Earn up to $30.00 per hour depending on experience and six (6) pay checks a month when bonus is included. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles. You will work closely with our team of mechanics to ensure that all vehicles are running efficiently and safely. Your expertise in diesel engines will be crucial in ensuring that our fleet is always in top condition. This is a full-time, first-shift position with a bi-weekly bonus, competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a diesel technician training program
At least 2 years of experience as a diesel technician
Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with computer diagnostic tools
Experience with heavy-duty diesel engines
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and vehicles
Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
Collaborate with other mechanics to ensure efficient and safe operation of our fleet

Skills:
As a Diesel Technician, you will use your expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance to diagnose and repair diesel engines and vehicles. Your ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics will be crucial in performing routine maintenance and repairs. JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Oversight and scheduling of service operations including routine services, breakdowns, and after-hours calls
2. Perform and maintain daily lot check to better manage workflow into shop, prioritize order of operation, and keep yard/lot organized and neat
3. Work in process management- Closing and approving technician work orders, including making sure the correct parts are charged out, labor is correct, and comments are entered
4. Customer approval/communication on billable items, acquiring POs, sending estimates, and overall customer relationship management
5. Keep technicians on task and motivated- Assign work to techs based on skill and efficiency level
6. Ensure shop environment including work area, technician team, and shop tools are in compliant and safe condition; Assist with KPA safety inspection reports as required by management
7. Provide tech oversight and assistance, including diagnostic advice and additional support
8. Pickup and delivery of units and/or parts, making appearances at customer/vendor locations regularly
9. Keeping upper management updated daily on operations; This also includes communicating with Sales/Operations team as needed
10. Routine inventory audits/cycle counts as required by management
11. Perform repairs in shop as needed, able to fill in as Tier 1 Tech if necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a safe work history.
Have a positive attitude and proactive approach to our safety program.
Apprentice plant maintenance mechanic or plant oiler - still learning (1-year experience or less).
Plant maintenance mechanic - knowledge and ability to properly perform basic plant maintenance to include but not limited to splicing conveyor belt, tracking conveyor belt, replacing conveyor idlers, pulleys and bearings, replacing V-belts, and replacing screen media.
Plant oiler - Knowledge and ability to properly perform basic plant preventive maintenance to include but not limited to proper greasing techniques, amounts and schedules, installing, repairing or replacing grease lines, oil changes in speed reducers, crushers, feeders and screen units, and proper oil sampling techniques.
Knowledge of automation software and diagnostics would be helpful but not required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Good safety, behavior and attendance record.
The selected candidate will be required to work collectively in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.

As we continue to expand our network, we are seeking quality mechanics to help maintain our fleet of over 2,200 tractors, 8,500 trailers, and 1,700 forklifts across the United States and Canada.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
Job Requirements:
1 year of experience
Basic set of tools
ASE certification preferred but not required

What you can expect as an Interior Upholstery Technician at West Star:
As an interior upholstery technician you will be responsible for the repair, refurbishment and reinstallation of interior upholstery components on world class business aircraft. Some of the tasks required include general upholstery on aircraft - seats, panels and other interior items. What you can expect as an Interior Finish Technician at West Star:
As an Interior Finish technician you will be responsible for interior finish processes, including wood finishes of assigned aircraft, varying amounts of gloss and satin applications, and sanding of hardwood as needed to apply finish. Development and completion of aircraft interior cabinet finishes are the primary functions. Job duties will vary by type and scope, as designated by the Finish Team Leader.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Assist with paint and techniques for major modification projects
Identify colors and color matches as needed
Basic knowledge of stains, lacquers, clear coats, etc.
Basic knowledge in chemicals (thinners, catalysts, cleaners, etc.) And safety procedures.
Basic knowledge in paints and spraying equipment
Knowledge of dry sanding and wet sanding, etc.
Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
Cleanliness of shop and surroundings

Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent. A valid drivers license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required

Technician I: 0-2 years' experience in auto re-finish/collision repair or other similar trade dealing with the paint/finish processes.
Technician II: 2-5 years' experience in wood finishing processes on aircraft.
Technician III: 5+ years' experience in wood finishing processes on aircraft
