The Staff Transmission Engineer will work on project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of overhead high voltage transmission line projects. The Staff Transmission Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting transmission plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
+ Perform and lead transmission design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. This includes PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, structure analysis to develop load trees, developing design criteria, sag-tension calculations, wire blowout, swing angle, damper recommendations, structure spotting, clearance reports, wire selection, etc.
+ Prepare specifications for construction, hardware, and material for high voltage overhead transmission line (HV OH T-Line); structure design and development; hardware design and selection; and field installation supervision.

+ Compile calculations for required electrical clearances based on NESC, GO 95 or other applicable codes and resources.
