    Job Description Coordinates, performs and oversees crews engaged in the installation, maintenance, repair of underground piping systems and Site civil excavation work within industrial and commercial facilities. Interprets blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings to determine detailed work procedures and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools to perform precise installations and repairs. Responsible for ensuring operational reliability and timely project execution. Required to be available for emergency response assignments as needed and to participate in the CSD Utility Winter Work On-Call Rotation Program. Hiring Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation. Minimum 5 years' experience in underground construction trades. Must acquire and maintain all customer and company specified qualifications, certifications, and training as needed. (These may differ and change per customer and business needs). Working foreman should be able to work within precise limits of standards of accuracy and make decisions based on measurable criteria. Completion of company training programs and appropriate experience required Possess the leadership ability necessary to lead, motivate and direct the work of subordinates. Physically, working foreman must be able to work easily and skillfully with hands, lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, have good vision either naturally or with correction) and stand, stoop, kneel or crouch. OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training). Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen. The foreman organizes the work and coordinates the various aspects of construction. They should be able to meet quality standards, cost requirements, and project time schedules. Responsibilities: Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel. Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors. Managing and mentoring employees and contractors. Providing adequate resources to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs. Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures Reading and interpreting building plans. Must be able to complete work abiding by national, state, and local codes, including safety regulations. Constructing and installing wooden structures including but not limited to framework, stairways, rafters, doors, windows, trim, railings, and built ins. Must be able to accurately measure and cut materials appropriately. Collaborate with team members to ensure that the project is running smoothly. Ability to notify Project Manager of any issues that may arise. Work independently without much instruction. Must have own tools and reliable transportation. Must have a strong attention to detail. Requirements: 5 plus years of prior experience. A valid Drivers License and reliable transportation. Own a full set of tools. OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and Construction Supervisor License. Must be able to lift 80 lbs. Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team. Strong attention to detail and a strong commitment to high quality of work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of working long hours in harsh weather conditions. Good math and problem-solving skills.
