The Residential Business Developer generates and develops new business opportunities to ensure revenue goals and client satisfaction ratings are met or exceeded. Overall objective is to grow the business with responsibilities including lead generation, design assistance, estimating, proposing, presenting and closing sales on value added landscape projects and maintenance packages to an array of clients including homeowners, general contractors, landscape architects, property management companies, etc. The ultimate goal of this position is to increase revenue for the company.
JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
The Residential Business Developer duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Business development to help generate and follow up on leads that result in new landscape maintenance or enhancement business and client relationships
Meet with potential clients and nurture long-lasting relationships by understanding needs and visions, assist in the design of high performing landscapes, estimating, proposing and closing value added solutions that generate clients for life
Field and be the primary point of contact for external maintenance, client enhancement, and small-scale construction leads within assigned geography
Work with marketing team and senior leadership to develop and implement marketing strategies to drive growth
Provide weekly sales activity reports as it relates to current leads using our CRM software
Develop client relationships through being available for meetings, working collaboratively to accomplish goals and maintaining close communication to drive sales and satisfied clients
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal staff and external relationships such as clients, GC's, LA's, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
Create and maintain professional presentations to introduce company's services to potential landscape architects, general contractors, home care companies, etc.
Attend networking and marketing functions on a regular basis, representing the company in the market and various industry organizations and events
Ability and willingness to do other tasks as requested or required of the position
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or landscape related field preferred but not required with acceptable experience and training to negate degree
Valid Driver's License required
3-5 years' experience within the landscape industry as an Account Manager or Sales Representative
Proven track record of achieving sales targets

Preparing routine estimates in partnership with the Branch Manager and the head of Pre-construction.
Reviewing estimate with estimators for completeness and accuracy from start to finish and close out job on time.
Put scope letter with qualifications and exclusions of each specific project.
Evaluating Project Documents for constructability and value engineering opportunities.
Maintaining current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractors
Analyzing and strategizing bids, competitors, margin, and bid closure.
Developing and maintaining resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
Supporting the overall goals and objectives of the local and regional teams.
You might be a good fit if you have:
Minimum of 3 years experience in estimating or pre-construction
Understanding and knowledge of with On-Screen-Takeoff (OST) and HCSS preferred
Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Tree Climber

The Best Teams are Created and Maintained Here. * Climber I is a beginner level climber position responsible for working in trees to perform general tree care including pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection, and tree removals. Supports team in site clearing and chipping tree debris and disposing of tree debris.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform basic tree care operations such as pruning and limb removal on the ground and in small to medium sized trees (up to 60 feet in height)
* Access a tree safely according to company protocols after having made all the necessary inspections and assessments. Safely and efficiently move throughout the canopy and remove branches without causing damage or injury
* Safe operation of powered equipment such as chippers, trucks, and blowers
* Basic to intermediate chainsaw skills and proficiency in both ground-based and canopy-based chainsaw techniques
* Effectively use hand tools such as hand saws, pole pruners, pole saws, rakes, and shovels to perform tree care tasks
* Use task specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to industry standards and company protocols
* Maintain safe and organized work zone
* Effectively implement plans to prevent property damage and personal injury during tree care operations
Education and Experience:
* Demonstration of role specific skills or verifiable requisite experience.
* Able to successfully follow directions and established procedures related to roping and rigging, maintenance of equipment, adjustments to equipment, and reporting malfunctioning equipment.
* Read and interpret documents such as sales orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* Ability to perform mathematical operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) using weight measurement, volume, and distance
* Ability to calculate or estimate weight, volume and distance related to arboricultural field operations
* Apply critical thinking skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
* Effective communication skills
* Communicate using hand signals with climbers to ensure safety and to perform work within acceptable standards
* Communicate verbally with the general public to direct them safely around the work area
* Able to become certified in EHAP, First-Aid and CPR
* Strong work ethic
Physical Demands/Requirements:
* Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (during emergency work, mandatory overtime, after-hours, weekends, and holiday work may be required)
* Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
Work Environment:
* Work outdoors in extreme conditions near automotive traffic and direct sunlight.
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
* Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
* Requires protective clothing and personal devices: Eye protection, safety vest, gloves, hard hat, ear plugs, long sleeved shirts, and work boots

Here's what you'd do:
The Irrigation Tech I applies knowledge of irrigation systems to assist with routine monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and seasonal maintenance tasks. This role works under general supervision and follows established procedures to ensure proper system operation.
You'd be responsible for
* Monitor and test new irrigation installations
* Support troubleshooting and repair efforts
* Evaluate and optimize pipe and valve placements and help with seasonal system tasks such as start-ups and winterizations
* Participate in routine inspections and help record findings
* Support basic system adjustments and minor repairs
You might be a good fit if you have:
* 0-1 year of productive experience in the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems.
* A valid driver's license
* Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential.
* Bilingual in Spanish
* Ability to create and read site map-colored charts/legends
