In 1937, Reese William Warner and a friend opened a small plumbing business called Warner & Winpigler, which they ran out of the Warner home.
Bill took over as president in 1973, and R.W. became chairman of the board.
By the mid‐1980’s, R. W. Warner, Inc. had established itself as one of the pre‐eminent mechanical contracting companies in the region.
Recognizing the value of being able to offer a total mechanical package, Bill elected to grow through acquisition, and in 1986 purchased a long‐time subcontractor to the company, Kaempf & Harris, a sheet metal fabrication and installation company.
Fred joined the Warner team in 1988 following ten highly successful years in public and corporate accounting, culminating in his role in Marriott’s Corporate Finance Department, where he handled the fixed asset accounting for their Courtyard and Howard Johnson product lines.
Hired in 1989 as a Senior Accountant, Joe was instrumental in the development and implementation of the company’s accounting and information systems – the types of systems needed to grow a multi‐divisional enterprise with numerous intercompany transactions.
