After five years in public accounting, I joined the Related Companies in 1990, and have devoted my career to the affordable housing industry, first as the controller of Related Capital/Centerline's portfolio of over 100 LIHTC funds, which owned over 1,300 properties and received over $10 billion in corporate investor equity. I worked at Centerline from 1990-2008, and successfully delivered all tax returns, audits,and quarterly reports to their investors on a timely basis. After that, I joined the NHP Foundation, a leading owner of affordable housing in the non profit sector. My primary role was as CFO for their corporate entity, resident service program, and to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of all investor reporting,tax returns,audits, and quarterly reports for their portfolio of low income housing tax credit properties. I also kept the construction books and provided all of the information for the historic and LIHTC cost certifications. In June, 2012 I joined R4 Capital, a low income housing tax credit syndicator, which has successfully launched its first LIHTC fund in May, 2012. My role here is to provide quarterly reports ot our investors, along with tax returns and audited financials. I also am responsible for the corporate books and records. I have implemented Great Plains accounting software and have also managed the HR role during my time at R4.
