You and Your Job
The Project Finance Credit Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the credit product including: (i) being a knowledge expert on various internal credit policies and training the team on such policies; (ii) conducting annual reviews and monitoring transactions; and (iii) structuring, conducting due diligence and financial analysis of key counterparties (offtakers, suppliers, guarantors) and preparing credit applications for new transactions. Majority of customers are in the renewable energy and energy transition sector (wind, solar, energy storage, energy efficiency and energy transition).
This role will be important in ensuring that the business is aligned and compliant with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements. This involves a thorough understanding of the credit landscape, including risk assessment, creditworthiness evaluation, and compliance with applicable internal policies. By maintaining a proactive approach to credit policy management, the role will contribute to mitigating risks, enhancing decision-making processes, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing with respect to risk management, supporting sustainable growth and long-term success.
Job Responsibilities
Work close cooperation with the Project Finance team in New York on (i) credit risk management and (ii) deal structuring, due diligence and risk analysis for both new transactions and portfolio monitoring in the renewable energy and energy transition sectors.
Responsible for being a "center of competence" on various business-relevant Rabobank credit risk policies and knowledge sharing across the team on these
Responsible for the Rabobank Risk Rating, LEA/LGD and RAROC models.
Writing and general preparation of credit applications. Includes providing base case and downside case, internal deal rating and pricing, counterparty analysis, contract analysis, and financial and structural analyses.
Develop financial projections for projects and corporates
Monitor portfolio deals, which will entail reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements and other reporting deliverables, preparing the annual reviews and evaluating amendments and waivers.
Manage workflows to ensure alignment with organizational objectives
Oversee and ensure good housekeeping for a growing portfolio in terms of annual review management, reporting deliverables, KPIs and internal collateral valuations
Enforce policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Maintain cross-functional coordination with internal stakeholders
Identify operational inefficiencies and drive process improvements for workflow and productivity
Conduct periodic testing of transactions to ensure internal key controls are being met
Contribute to the preparation of reports on key metrics, and other ad-hoc issues and market developments
Inform manager and escalate issues appropriately

Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience in credit and risk analysis for project finance transactions.
Experience in renewable energy and clean energy technologies is strongly preferred.

Salary Expectations:

**Job Summary:**
We are looking for candidate(s) who will be responsible for:
1) Maintaining and servicing existing portfolio as Marketing Officer ("MO").

Required Qualifications:

* Has at least one year experience in the investments industry, including investment training and in-depth knowledge of investment products and services.

The Project Finance Summer Analyst will have a unique opportunity to work with a growing Project Finance Americas team, responsible for structuring and executing prudent and profitable renewable energy and infrastructure project financing transactions. The PF Summer Analyst will have exposure to a broad, and growing range of technologies (e.g. solar, wind, battery, energy efficiency, data centers, and fuel cells) and transaction structures. The PF Summer Analyst will be an integral part of deal teams and will have the opportunity to learn from colleagues with different experience levels and fields of expertise.
The PF Summer Analyst will be expected to:
Act as an essential deal team members in structuring and executing renewable energy and infrastructure financing transactions
Build relationships within the organization and industry stakeholders
Gain and share expertise on various renewable energy and infrastructure technologies, project finance and financing structures
Job Description:
Assist team members in pitching, generating, structuring, executing, and monitoring project finance transactions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Review financial models for renewable energy projects and other project finance transactions (no prior financial modeling experience required)
Review project documents, including Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Agreement, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Agreements
Review financing agreements
Review consultant reports
Draft internal transaction documents
Conduct research for independent project covering the project finance industry
Assist portfolio team in monitoring loans, which includes risk analysis, expansions, refinancings, and restructuring
Required Skills & Experiences:
Strong interest in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors
Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (Spring 2027 graduation year only).
Strong GPA of 3.5 or above
Have a good attitude and a willingness to learn quickly and think nimbly
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
