As a Store Associate, you will provide prompt, efficient, and courteous guest service, follow company policies and procedures, and sell merchandise while delivering on RaceTrac's mission of making people's lives simpler and more enjoyable. The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair up to 40 RaceTrac convenience stores in a designated region. This individual is responsible for maintaining Building HVAC, Refrigeration Walk-Ins and reach ins and sealed system repairs on Yogurt Machines, Ice Makers, and Frozen Carbonated Beverage Units. The HVAC/R Technician is also responsible for reporting any maintenance or repair needs found at the location via Service Channel and to their Regional Service Manager.
What You'll Do:
Resolve maintenance and service issues at the RaceTrac Store Support Center to ensure full operability with all SSC equipment Ensures each job is performed at a high level of skill and with optimal customer service.
Provide project support to cross-functional departments in various initiatives related to the SSC.
Respond to additional ad hoc maintenance requests communicated from each department, as needed.
Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to repeatedly bend, stand and reach while on the job, with no or infrequent breaks.
Conduct routine inspection of facilities to identify and repair deficiencies.
Conduct routine audits of all 3rd party services.
Manage and prioritize work order requests.
What We're Looking For:
HVAC, HVAC/R skillset desired
Universal EPA Certification required
Ability to work from 6am through 7pm
Good driving record
2+ years work experience preferred
Minimum 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field
Ability to read commercial wiring schematics
Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
Ability to use power tools and hand tools
Ability to work in confined spaces and outside conditions.
Ability to use ladders safely

What We're Looking For
* 3-5 years of experience in retail, food service, or restaurant leadership
* 1+ year of management experience preferred
* Strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Experience in high-volume, guest-focused environments
* Ability to read and act on business metrics such as P&L, labor, and sales

* High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed
