Seeking qualified and experienced Senior Engineer to support the Radar Systems Division (B40) within the Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems Department (B Department) at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). B40 supports multiple Navy and Marine Corps Radar Systems and provides Sensor Systems expertise across the entire acquisition lifecycle from concept exploration through sustainment of Navy and Marine Corps Radar Systems. Selected candidates will work with Navy/Marine Corps engineers and analysts and will be responsible for contributing to systems engineering taskings for new and evolving tactical Air Surveillance, Fire Control, and/or Ground Weapons Locating Radars. Work assignments may be associated with the AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar or other Navy/USMC radar development programs. Qualifications:
- PhD, Master’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electronic/Electrical or Computer Engineering, Science, Math, or Physics.
- At least 5 years of radar system engineering experience desired.
- 12 total years of engineering experience.
- Secret DoD clearance is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques.

Performs as a lead on more complex engineering assignments. RequirementsEducation, Technical, and Work Experience
A Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 8 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of Science in engineering and a minimum of 6 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum 4 years of related engineering experience are required for this position.
In addition, an Engineer IV must possess the following qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering to provide consultative services on development programs and in the design and development of systems and components Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems in the specialty area Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools Well-developed leadership skills Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems from a broad prospective Excellent communication and analytical skills Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines.
