Position: 2nd Shift Inspector Packer
Job Summary
We are looking for an Inspector Packer to support the inspection and sorting of molded or assembled parts or products for defects, and/or deviations from specifications, and pack parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations based on customer requirements and/or standard quality specifications.
Pay: $16 USD/hr + $1 USD/hr Shift Premium
Responsibilities
Pack acceptable parts into pre-defined packaging or pallet configurations according to the established quality standard.
Perform secondary operations per requirement to meet customer specifications. This may include part rework, assembly, and/or repack tasks.
Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
Mark/label completed container(s)/bundle(s) with designated item information according to the established quality standards.
Record production data accurately during shift and complete Secondary Operations documentation as required.
Remove molded parts from WIP container and perform visual inspection for conformance to established quality standards.
Maintain clean and organized work area making sure to properly discard rejected parts and to keep area free of debris.
Transfer parts in/out of the curing oven as required/instructed.
Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.
Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.

With a presence in Blacksburg and the Washington, D.C., metro area, the institute aspires to be the nation's preeminent academic organization at the nexus of interdisciplinary research, technology, policy, and talent development, the national security institute will advance national security in pursuit of a secure America.
Within the Institute, multiple motivated applicants are sought to join as Research Faculty to support rapid growth in our Spectrum Dominance Division (SDD). The winning candidates can expect highly competitive salary and benefits in a university setting. This pooled position is focused on individuals with expertise in any of three key technology areas to support a growing portfolio of programs:
(1) Digital communications, signal processing, software-defined radio, and machine learning techniques applied to temporal data, such as RF I/Q streams, audio, or video.

Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student Life, the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life provides vision, leadership, and direction for a dynamic, collaborative, and safe community of engaged student leaders. This position supports the intellectual, personal, social, and leadership development of fraternity and sorority members (and potential new members) through focused commitment and a full array of programs, services, and activities centered on the four fraternal values of leadership, scholarship, service, and friendship. The Director will provide strategic long-term planning for the office suite and its operations, the strength of the affiliated community, and the strategic growth of chapters and councils in support of the mission of the Division of Student Affairs and the University. The Director will work with staff and both campus and community partners to ensure there are strong relationships and a shared commitment to the success of the fraternity and sorority community. Alumni engagement is both a requirement and a strategic advantage for student learning and relationships. Active participation with Admissions, New Student and Family Programs, the Citizen Leader graduation distinction program, and campus traditions will support the retention imperative and student success. The Director is responsible for the direction and determination of goals, objectives, and the means to achieve these goals by management of services, planning of budget resources, and serving on various committees. Responsibilities also include publications, reports, event planning, strategic community gatherings, assessments, presentations, and coaching. This position will also represent the University as a member of appropriate professional organizations. The Director will supervise one professional staff member, one graduate assistant, and various student interns.
Required Qualifications
A demonstrated ability to lead and direct the operations of a mid-size fraternal community with a focus on student learning, safety, and membership growth. An understanding of the challenges and opportunities within student organization management, values-based membership and leadership, and current issues in college student development. Proven experience in effective risk management. Progressive experience in managing budgets and strategically planning fiscal matters. Community development competence, a collaborative approach, and a learning mindset are required.
An advanced degree in a related field or a bachelor's degree with training and experience equivalent to an advanced degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in leadership of office of similar scope. Involvement in professional higher education associations (i.e. ACPA, NASPA, AFA, NACA, etc).
Other Specifications: Proficiency preferred in software and programs: i.e. Campus Labs, Banner, eVA, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar programs. Knowledge of and ability to comply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA), Title IX, institutional rules and policies, and Commonwealth of Virginia rules and regulations. Understanding of student development and the role of student affairs in the educational process. Ability to build relationships across campus with students, administrators and other campus community members. Experience in maintaining excellent relationships with headquarters staff and advisors. Proven ability to gather and utilize assessment data. Demonstrated oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to provides daily contact with other campus departments, faculty, administrative staff, parents, students, alumni, and the general public.

Wall Residences Supported Living program is a supportive in-home service directed by the individual and their person-centered plan. The program supports adults with intellectual disabilities with skill- building, and managing routine, general, and safety supports that enable an individual to acquire, retain, or improve the self-direction, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to be successful in home and community-based settings. The program is designed to optimize an individual's initiative, autonomy, and self-awareness both at home and in the community.
Supported Living assists with managing all aspects necessary for individuals to maintain independence in their own homes while being provided access to 24-hour support. Specialized supervision provides staff presence for ongoing or intermittent intervention, ensuring an individual's health and safety, addressing necessary activities of daily living (ADLs), managing instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and the provision of general supports necessary for personal growth and quality of life. Supported Living serves to develop and/or generalize skills through skill building that promotes self-direction and social connections.
Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field is required. At least one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (DD) and two years' experience supervising employees is preferred.
