Sets up and adjusts accessory equipment required and makes exposures necessary for requested procedures. Ensures ALARA principle is applied for every exam. (As low as reasonably achievable). E. As a team member with a radiologist, performs procedures such as, but not limited to, IVP, urethrograms, G.I. series, modified barium swallow and barium and air contrast barium enemas. Sets up the exam room. Ensures that sterile supplies, local anesthetics, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment are available.
F. Performs X-ray and C-Arm work in Surgery. Performs C-Arm work in the Pain Clinic.
G. Registers patients for examinations and updates status as necessary. Performs clerical duties as they relate to patient care. Accesses the medical record as necessary to view laboratory results or to verify exam order.
H. Reviews new developments in the profession and makes recommendations to implement processes which would improve radiology operations.
I. Independently makes routine radiographic examinations of head, trunk, and extremities for diagnosis of illness or injuries. Cleans equipment and area after use. Performs routine maintenance and quality control. Recognizes and reports malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner.
J. Performs picture archival (PACS) duties. The technologist captures digital radiographs, configures the image, and verifies patient information before transmitting to PACS. This procedure requires a general knowledge of computer operations. Image manipulation and transmission is critical in digital radiography as lost data can only be recaptured by repeating the radiograph.
K. Works as a clinical preceptor for radiology students when assigned.

The Dublin Cancer Center is hiring a part-time Mammographer. The hours for this position are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
The Mammographer is responsible for producing good quality exams in a timely manner while practicing good patient care and maintaining accurate patient records. The position assures the Mammography program meets all FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology requirements and standards.
**Responsibilities And Duties:**
75%
Conducts Mammograms; Escorts patient to the room, completes proper documentation, and explains procedure to patient prior to mammogram procedure. Takes images for interpretation. Verifies images are of good technical quality.
15%
Assists radiologist with stereotactic biopsy and needle localizations to include: machine calibration, sterile field set-up, explaining procedure to patient, offering consolation and ensuring comfort to the patient during procedure.
10%
Performs quality control and assurance practices. Schedules preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment and schedules necessary repairs. Assures all mammography manuals are kept up-to-date. Keeps accurate and current QC logs to document variances, investigates and corrects any abnormal QC occurrences.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Service Excellence: Exhibits the Service Excellence Behavior Standards, role modeling excellence for all to see. (2) Provides for periodic rounding on patients & families, providing updates and initiating service recovery on identified issues.
* Clinical Practice: (1) Performs screening mammographic examinations upon order/referral of physician. (2) Analyzes mammographic examinations for quality control purposes, (3) Prepares completed exam for interpretation by a radiologist, (4) Operates PACS equipment.
(5) Performs non-technical tasks and indirect patient care activities (i.e.) Patient transport,
movement positioning, (6) Correctly responds to emergency situations such as Code Blue,
emergency operations plan, (7) Adheres/follows all regulations for MQSA in the performance of screening mammography including but not limited to: QC, results reporting to physicians and patients, documentation and tracking of positive results, and ensures that all staff providing clinical services meet personnel standards for education and continuing experience in the performance and interpretation of mammography.
* Communication: (1) Communicates pertinent clinical information to appropriate members of the patient care team & department personnel. (2) Establishes and maintains strong positive communication with patients and families.
