Job Summary: Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures of designated anatomy as requested by referring physicians in accordance with proper operational protocols. Duties: Communicates clinical observations during the radiologic examination to radiologist. Presents clinical documentation to radiologist. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. Adheres to the guidelines of radiation protection and infection control safety for patient and technologist. Prepares oral contrast or intra articular contrast as prescribed under the direction of a radiologist. Performs imaging delivery to the PACS system and has the knowledge and ability to burn images onto a disc for patients/referring providers as needed.
